Iphone not recognized in itunes anymore-Help!!

I have 2.1 on my 1st gen iphone. Before 2.2, I was able to sync with my itunes with all my songs and movies. When 2.2 was released, I would always get the option to upgrade to 2.2 but I was still able to sync. Now, I plug my iphone into my laptop it will only charge it or sync my pictures but is no longer recognized as a device in itunes. Need Help!! Thanks

why not just upgrade it it will still unlock just the same

jailbreak and unlock with quickpwn

just use apt backup to restore cydia stuff

also try updating itunes first

uninstall itunes , quicktimes , and any other itunes folder and download and install latest one from apple.com

The problem i have with uninstalling itunes is because I have like 15 movies in my itunes library and i don't have dvds or external harddrive to back that all up. Whats an other alternative?

just move everything to another section of your hd then uninstall

Update- I was able to get a new version of itunes but on another laptop and sync what was already on my phone but i could not delet off my phone. I noticed my phone is slower with all these apps and music on it and I want my iphone clear. How do you delete songs of an iphone?

Restore it. That will remove everything.

Now that I can sync how do i set it to transfer everything to itunes and remove it off my phone?
