Installing tmobile us hacks, changing proxy/preferences.plist, updating & jailbreaking firmware, using winscp & putty for the TMobile Us Bundle/310260, And Still No Service... No Luck What So Ever!! My firmware is 2.2 on the 2g. Ive been back and forth with my iphone for 3-4 weeks now and im really running out of faith. Try doing a DFU restore to 2.2 and then use quickpwn 2.2. That should jailbreak/unlock your phone.

DFU restore to firmware 2.2 and then quickpwn (with the SIM card in) to activate and jailbreak.

You have really not given enough information on what you have specifically tried to get your phone working.

Just to clarify a few things..you've tried restoring your 2G's (not 3G) firmware using iTunes back to bone stock (thus erasing everything on it), then jailbreaking/quickpwning your iphone, and you still get no service at all using T-Mobile USA? No bars or anything? Have you tried the SIM in another T-Mobile phone? Have you tried another T-Mobile/ATT SIM in the iPhone? I have unlocked MANY of the 2G phones, and have not had a single issue. Make sure you have the right software from the right sources as well. Good luck.

this could also be a battery issue. if it gets hotter than normal when charging or if it doesn't hold a charge. the heat of the battery can sort of short circuit the com center. so you would need to get it replaced but that is a LAST resort.

i used itunes to restore it then used quickpwn to jailbreak/unlock it. I tried about five different times with the last couple of times with the the tmobile sim card being in thru the entire process. i know its not the sim card because it works fine in my CECT IFOE P168+. Ive also tried using other T-Mobile Sim Cards...Its Just Says Network Lost and gives me the option to either dismiss or go settings/carrier to select network again
