G1 TO 3G what internet to use!!!!

A buddy of mine is going from a g1 to a 3g what internet does he use epc or internet2 or internet3 or does he have to switch from g1 plan to total internet..

epc and internet2 are APN settings , he needs a data plan .He can use same one he used on g1

If he is in a 3g area, the iphone 3g is not on the same frequency as Tmobile, so he will revert back to the much slower edge.

T-Mobile only has 3 plans. $9.99 web2go, $19.99 web2go and $34.99 unlimited. all of which will use the internet2.voicestream.com APN.

the sidekick data does work,but it is not worth it now,if you had it grand fathered for 19.99 you can use it for unlimited net/texting emails etc

have it and working great and pretty darn fast compared to tzones
