This seems sooooo odd. Is your T-Mobile account set-up for internet? If so, was it working on the prior phone / or prior iPhone version?

The APN Changer website automatically configures the configuration files for you so no need to SSH.

just did my friends 3g, he's having same prob. to clear it up, cant use the t-zone hack cuz there is no more t-zones available for ppl who haven't had it signed up.... up unto late last yr. on my account i still have it, but i checked my friends account he doesn't even have it listed, just the 10 or 15 dollar one wit the 50 mb storage. i just told him to use the voicestream, ill post to see if theres any progress

update* ok so he has a 8 gig 3g iphone that i unlocked for him, the epc.tmobile.com does not work cuz it brings up a weird ip addy page he said, so i told im to put internet2.voicestream.com wit 50 mb web access wit 2 hundred msgs for 9.99

I think by default, the US version of iPhone 3G (ATT only) doesn't have it... mine is from HK which is factory unlocked with Apple, and it does let me enter the APN... anyone interest to buy my factory unlocked iPhone 3G?

I am not 100% certain on a 3G. But, I used this on my last version on my old schooler 1st Gen.

I installed the APN editing package in Cydia. It worked perfect, and gave me a APN editing option.

    It is called APN Editing.

Go to Cydia, then tweaks and install APN editing. This will give you an APN option in settings.

Some networks/SIM cards disable APN editing, this tweak enables it.

I bought about 23 brand new iphone 3G (in and out many many times) straight from APPLE in California, and they all have the APN option in general, network, cellular network
