Grandfathered for about 5 year.. Hah why are you people paying for text messages? You do know that with WebMessenger (aim type client which continues to run in the background even when closed) you can send free messages over aim to your friends and get free replies by adding a +1 to their cell phone number as a buddy in your buddy list. They then show up as a cell phone and are always online. They dont even need aim or any other client. Shows up as a standard message. Its free and sexy. Also gives you way more versatility than regular texting. Picture messages/voice messages/anything. The other use just has to download the multimedia ones. I been usin it for ages. And no text package. Booyah. yeah... i said booyah.

BTW: This also works with like all in 1 messenger, or aim, or whatever messenger uses aim.

we pay for text, for conviency. who the heck wants to open aim and wait on replies regularly or HAVE to be on aim just to recieve them. 15 bux a month for convient texting, thanks no problem...
