FW 2.2 and Custom SMS Sounds

Ok, so i just updated to 2.2 then quickpwned it to re-unlock and jailbreak my iphone. When i went to go put my custom sms sounds in the folder like i had them before it wouldn't work. It kept coming up with a substrate error and rebooted in safe mode.

Once i put the original sms sound back into the folder everything worked again.

I've done this before with 2.1 so i knew what i was doing, but for some reason i think apple might have changed something.

Is anyone else having this same problem??

Does anyone know how to fix it?

A late reply ... but a reply none-the-less

Have always hated the default SMS sounds. Since 1.1.4 I have replaced one or two as a general rule. Well it worked for me with a 2.2 2G.

What I did? Within /System/Library/Audio/UISounds I replaced sms-received2.caf with my own custom sound. No safe mode, just normal expected operation.

A bit late, but hope this helps
