HELP! Receiving Calls

ok heres the deal, my tmo iphone works great, except for sometimes i cant receive calls and my received sms will be delayed by a few hours or more. the weird thing is that when this happens, i CAN make calls, send sms, and my internet all works fine. i also receive voicemails when this is happening. when people call me they say it rings like normal then goes to voicemail. If it helps, I have an iphone 3g 16gb, ver. 2.1. Gevey 3g SIM

My phone just started doing the exact same thing. Did you figure out how to solve the problem?

Try restarting your iPhone.

I think its a power management issue. I am about to post a file for 2G phones. I can not be sure the 3G phones will allow this file to work properly. My issue and i've seen several with the same symptoms the phone will not ring when its "sleeping" if you press a button and keep the screen on and call it, It WILL ring. I have no idea how it works but i have a default file i've been able to use on two 2G phones. So far it works. I think however what happens is when you sync it will overwrite the change so you have to Backup after installing this file.

Edit:
And here it is...

No, the phone being awake or sleeping does not make a difference for me. I actually went to Tmobile and got a new SIM card and it's been working great ever since. It's also improved my signal in areas where I was having issues with poor service before.

OK. well that yah you may need to have gotten a newer SIM chip. I dont know much about those Gevey chip mods. I know I use to have an old one and they said i needed a newer one for my Treo at the time. Well the problem mine does is when the screen is on it rings but when you put it to sleep it SHOULD ring still. But i had a friend who had the same problem. Works now.
