Have you changed your font or changed the signal bars or wifi signal bars...

you recently updated to 2.1? 2.1 changed the way that all carrier IDs are displayed. When you first turn the phone on it should scroll T-Mobile within that space and then settle back to the T-... Occasionally it will scroll across, but this is their new carrier ID display. When I was in peru the Claro logo was sometimes in all lowercase and sometimes all uppercase, with no rhyme or reason to it. but it only happened after 2.1.

Hi, freakoftheindustry, wanderinghome. No, I don't make any change on Font or signal bar. Yes, I change to 2.1 last week and like wanderinghome said, when I restart the phone the logo scroll T-Mobile within that space and then settle back to the T-..., but the first 3 or 4 days, the iPhone show the Logo without problem "T-Mobile"

I live in Puerto Rico, maybe T-Mobile is different here.

Download the Tmobile carrier logo on Cydia, that will change it to an image of T-Mobile's logo and it fits just fine.

Chafanim- I also tried that but it didn't change my carrier logo either. I found two different installers on cydia for the t-mobile logo and neither worked. I'm not too hung up about it, but if you DO have an answer I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

That's weird. I have the first generation iPhone updated to 2.1 and the T-Mobile logo appears with no problem. I'm wondering if maybe it's the file itself that for some reason is larger. I've even added a custom logo that is larger and it also appears with no problem. I got the custom logo from the Customize website (not the app itself) under the theme called "TMobile Complete."

In System/Library/Carrier Bundle folder, trying copying the Default_TMOBILE.png and the FSO_TMOBILE.png from the Unknown.bundle folder to the folder that corresponds to Tmobile for Puerto Rico... unfortunately I don't know if one exists.

Sorry if this doesn't help.

I own a 3G Iphone and I am also having the same problem. The only fix that i have found at this time is MIM. It enables a change in the carrier and the banner. Hopes this helps.

Same here. Search "make it mine" in cydia and type in T-Mobile. It looks much better that way.

"Make it mine" app from cydia .
install it
open it
Type something like "myphone"
save it
close app
open again
clear what you put. leave blank.
close app
you should now have T-Mobile
install tmobile logo graphic from cyndia
restart phone if changes dont take effect

just did it yesterday and it's working
the graphic look really good. Good quality logo.
good luck

Haha, same thing happened to me when I was messing around with the carrier logos, Just ssh into your iphone and go to System>Library>Carrier Bundles>TMobile_Germany.bundle then put the stock logos from this site and put them into this folder. Or you can use any of the custom ones. Make sure one is FSO and one is Default.
