Turns out, T-Mo is starting with 3g internet! I think it has something to do with the G-1 coming out, and the new direction they are going to take with their phones. NYC is first on the list, but more are to be added very soon.
I'm not sure if it's possible, this is why I am asking, but will it be possible for the 1 gen. iPhones to have a hack that allows the phone to access the 3g network?
No, sorry to be the destroyer of dreams but it will never be possible for the first generation iPhone to work on a 3G network otherwise they wouldn't have made an entirely new phone for that purpose. Also, the 3G iPhone will not work on the t-mobile 3G network because t-mobile uses a different frequency for it's 3G network than that which the 3G phone recieves.
I figured this much. Too bad. I guess now its just a matter to see if T-Mo offers 3g at a reasonable price, or if they are going to charge out the you-know-what like other networkds...
