09-19-2008, 05:53 PM #1Has anybody Sucessfully tethered iPhone while using t-zones hack?
Just trying to find out of its possible for one...and then if you have please tell me what you had to do...
I've tried socks proxy stuff...but all I get is error messages...
I'm guessing its because t-zones uses port 8080 and socks is using 1080...
thanks ahead of time if you can help

It is possible if a proxy chain (cascading proxies) is set up correctly. See http://www.modmyi.com/forums/t-mobil...ml#post2252691
P.S. I cannot see the iphonemodem supports cascading the t-zones proxy (port 8080) over the SOCKS (port 1080), so the iphonemodem most likely works only in normal cases but not here.

Do you use T-Mobile sim card and subscribe to the $5.99 T-zones/T-MobileWeb which needs the hack/patch for the iPhone itself to surf the web? I guess iPhoneModem won't work in this case, but you may be subscribed to the $19.99 one.

As soon as I put in new apn: epc.tmobile.com everything started working.
Here's what I have..... Iphonemodem, T-zones hack, apn: epc.tmobile.com, and safari on mac. Works perfectly and safari on mac is faster on edge than iphone!!??

yes on the first try and it works very easy.. however it is very slow.. (obviously)
get it in cydia... super easy to set up and works like a charm... make sure your phone is plugged in because it drains it fast..
