I'm in Austin, Texas. It's much slower for me than the wap.voicestream.com. But thanks for the info anyway!

I can confirm this new APN is solid!

Agile Messenger - works
YouTube - works (search and view videos, everything!)
Mail and Safari - works
SwirlyMMS - works - Instead of leaving the APN blank (leaving the APN blank in SwirlyMMS defaults to the phone's APN), manually input wap.voicestream.com

This APN doesn't seem to have the port restrictions that the wap.voicestream.com had so everything works.

I'm using 1.1.4 with the 5.99 T-Zones without BigBoss' hack installed.

I fear that this new "exploit" will be discovered by T-Mobile and we'll end up having to use the hack again.

EDIT: The only reason I'm still on 1.1.4 is due to MMS. However, an exciting email today should allow me to upgrade to 2.x finally.

EDIT #2: Orlando, FL here.

Remove the T-Zones hack, reset your network settings, and restart your phone.

After restarting your phone, type in the new APN.

I'm not on 2.x so I can't test it yet.

Omg! I finally have internet again! Thank you OP! I originally upgraded to 2.0.2 because my T-Zone just stopped working one day and I read that upgrading and installing the new hack would fix the problem. Well that didn't happened, and I was w/o internet for more than 2 weeks. With this new APN, YouTube is now working which wasn't the case before, and Pandora works excellent and now I have streaming radio in my car! I'm from Houston btw and the hurricane is set to hit my area within the next 24 hrs.. If I have power outages at least I can still access the internet via my phone, provided that the cellular network still works lol..

Thanks Muggz5! We are already experiencing heavy winds right now and the city is very much like a ghost town. Everyone here is praying for the best but expecting the worst.. I feel really bad for the folks from Galveston with the 18-22 feet storm surge and the hurricane is not even set the land yet. Best wishes for your friends from Galveston.

Send a message via AIM to chombie

It worked fine for me last night. 3 tries on iphonespeedtest.com

Average of 188.6 kb/s

As of today though, it stopped working for me.
