you can get the app called iNetwork test or you can look for a website which allows you to run your network speed. I find iNetwork Test to be the easiest. PS...YOUTUBE WORKS with the epc.tmobile.com. BAM

Thanks for this... I was without a internet connection for about 3 days and i was going crazy because i couldnt figure out what was wrong. I had the wap.voicestream.com as my APN and all of a sudden just stopped working. Giving me an HTTP: Error $code$
Changed to the new epc.tmobile.com and it worked perfect.

yeah i was gonna ask people if they have done speed test's recently? im in san diego as well and i've been averaging 320-550kbps consistantly. way hyped on this. i love the speed

I dont even pay $5.99/month ...actually I dont pay a dime a month and I have it working...hahahaha
ButI have a prepaid sim and I put like $100 on it to get the Gold Rewards to last me a long time back in June, haven't paid anythign since and this internet is almost as fast as 3G....
so um...I thin Free.99 is more of a "steal"...lmfao

The possible reason you can't get it is becasue the apn is supposed to be:

epc.tmobile.com

BTW I did a speed test with the new apn setting and am getting 280-290 kbps. much faster than the old setting.

280-290 kbps? thats fast! i'm only averaging around 150kbps with the new APN but it's still faster then the old APN! youtube is always working with it too!

I also had some off time around 7 as well. Everything seems to be working now though in the queens area of nyc

I'm planning to jailbreak and unlock (gevey 3g) my 3g. Will I have to wait to jailbreak it, add the sim adaptor and upgrade to T zones in order to put this setting? I'm asking because I can't seem to find the path to manually put these settings in, not that it will make a difference right now, Can somebody show me? I just want to be ready when I do everything.

All you have to do is add the 5.99 tzones plan and then go into settings/general/network/cellular data network and go put in epc.tmobile.com in the APN field
