wrong. GPS doesnt require 3G.. doesnt even require EDGE. although it needs a map to show you where you are and since it doesnt have a map stored in the iphones memory, it requires google maps thus requireing some kind of internet connection, so it can function with EDGE, 3G or even wi-fi... it would be nice if there was a way to store maps on the phone like a normal standalone GPS device does.
