Is this in the iTunes application itself? This doesn't sound like a T-mobile specific thing to me. Maybe this question is better in General Chat forum or the Jailbreak General forum.

Sounds like your local internet connection may be blocking the iTunes store or something at apple?

yea I think so too because I used another computer to do the same exact thing and it worked
