Can any of you get it working? It lets me log in... and I can see my stations, but it just spins/buffers after that.

I want to know the same, do we have to have the$19.99 data web plan? The Internet radio apps won't work for me wit tzones prolly the connection speed has slot to do wtb it.

I'm sorry. I should have been more specific. I was looking for a response from someone proficient in the English language.

Pandora works for me on the T-mobile Total Internet Plan. I just tested playing it for about a minute. It is slow to load though (took about 30 seconds to 1 minute to start playing). I am NOT using T-zones though so I can't comment on the difference between wap.voicestream.com and internet2.voicestream.com streaming.

haha I'm on my iPhone I hate auto correction. Thanks for clearing up that it works

First off, I think you could benefit from auto-correction. Your post was barely readable. Furthermore, he didn't clear up anything. I clearly asked about T-Zones. He is using something different.
Is reading comprehension a thing of the past?

I agree, he cleared it up for me!!! Thanks

What did he clear up?! I still don't know if it should, in theory, work with T-Zones. How did he clear it up?

I tested on both wap.voicestream.com (T-zones) and internet2.voicestream.com (Total Internet). They are both working.

I have T-Zone and edge works with internet, and can get to the station select on Pandora, but after waiting about 15 minutes for it to buffer the station, I gave up. For some reason, T-Zone doesn't seem to work with Pandora. Maybe someone will come up with a fix for it.
07-23-2008, 02:45 PM #12
The actual T-zone account vs Total Internet account must change the access on wap and internet2 instead of controlling access to the host names. I was under the impression that wap.voicestream.com was for wap browsing (T-zone) and internet2.voicestream.com was for regular NAT browsing with no wap or compression (Total Internet). I guess this is not the case so my test was not accurate. My apologies.

I have been trying to get Pandora working on T-Zones as well, with no success. I think the problem lies in the proxy that we use to connect to the internet. If you look at this page, it gives a complete listing of the ports available to T-Zones users:
Most apps seem to be safe as long as they use port 80 to transfer data. I assume that Pandora uses this port to log-in an retrieve our station lists. The actual streaming process must be using a port not allowed by the proxy.
I'm currently trying to set up a VPN on a port that is open to the proxy such as 110, which I could then configure my iPhone to connect to and hopefully circumvent the problem.

Great information, guys! I agree that is a port related issue. Thanks for the good information everyone.

Hi everyone- first post. Glad to have found this forum.
I jsut got the iphone and am using Tzones on it.
Was just wondering if there ever can be a fix for this Pandora issue? Or if it simply won't ever work on T-zones?

Your Pandora is streaming on t-zones? Not just on wifi? How did you do the T-zones hack? Through Cydia?
09-25-2008, 03:47 PM #19Working in 1.2
Well, it looks like Pandora is now working fine over EDGE with the T-Zones hack.
I installed the new 1.2 version, that brings a slew of updated functionality to the app, and gave streaming over EDGE a try. Low and behold, it works!
