Swirly MMS & T-Mobile Not Working
So I just got an Iphone about 2 weeks ago. Restored it and jailbreak/unlocked it. No problems there. Got my edge working via the T-Zones hack and works without a hitch. However I can't seem to get Swirly MMS working. I am using verison 1.1 and my settings are as follows:
MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
APN: wap.voicestream.com
Whenever I go to receive a message I get:
Fetch Error: unexpected http response (-1)
When I go to send I get:
Failed to send MMS
The network reported: unsuported message.
Anyone have any clue? I've tried different ports and so on from different guides I've found on the internet. Thanks!

this is the message I copy and paste from another post using a search option.
I spoke to TMobile tech support to confirm my SwirlyMMS settings and the support guy had experience helping people with SwirlyMMS.
MMSC is always the same: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
Proxy: 216.155.165.050
or: 216.155.165.050:8080
or: 216.155.165.050:9201
or: 216.155.165.051
or: 216.155.165.051:8080
or: 216.155.165.051:9201
APN: wap.voicestream.com
or: internet2.voicestream.com
He said it takes trial and error to find the right combination that works and that some people are still unsuccessful.
I got mine working with 216.155.165.050:8080 and wap.voicestream.com.
Good luck!

Yeah thanks for the reply. Like I said, I've tried different ip's and ports and nothing seems to work. I wasn't sure if there was something that I was missing beyond that.

i have the original settings for swirly and i am using the tmobile total internet 19.99 plan. tzones didnt work for me at all for web browsing period and swirly didnt work either, so you may want to try the 19.99 and see if swirly works with the settings you originally had. good luck!!!

Well.. I upgraded to the new 1.1.1 of Swirly MMS and put in all the settings and it worked! So I don't know if the older one did have an issue with t-zones and this one is fine for whatever reason for me? Anyways, thanks for all the help.

did you update to the new swirly MMS?? If you did, notice that you have to get a Demo license which gives you 14 days to try the new app, at that point, you have those 14 days to buy the program for $9.99.. Swirly worked 100% no problems, but they need to hurry up and get it to work on 2.0!!
O and I am using a 2g iphone with the Pwnage tool 2.0 on tmobile
I also have the $19.99 total internet planLast edited by mylexon20s; 07-23-2008 at 04:19 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
