Not in the foreseeable future. T-Mobile is not going to spend money to implement a feature for a phone that they don't support or sell direct to the customer.

what about tmobile customers over-seas and other countries? where the iphone is legit? do they get visual voicemail?

No, not unless they are subscribed to an iPhone specific data plan. Its like where if you put in a legit at&t sim visual voicemail doesnt work on it. The plan has the feature built in.

Not having Visual Voicemail on my unlocked iPhone has been driving me nuts.

I was hoping someone had figured out how to get it on T-mobile USA by now, so I could apply the same process to my home country of Australia.

Dammit! I guess I'll continue searching...

In my search I came across this on You Tube, might be of interest.

Looks pretty recent. Not sure how they are doing it, but they sound like they are from Australian or New Zealand. Guess I'm not the only one over here that has been trying to do the same thing.

This visual voicemail feature is so useless that I am not even bothered that T-Mobile doesnt support it.

It wont let me post the link but google t-mobile vvm coming 7-16-09. Of course it will be for the G1, maybe iphone as well.

@Poseidon79: T-mobile understands they have alot of customers using unlocked Iphones and even though its not their phone they still offer great tech support. Not just saying off what I heard but what I've dealt with!

We should use the other thread for this discussion. Somebody is probably hacking that phone to get the settings needed to get VVM.

GVmobile is about the closest thing you will get to Visual Voicemail on your iPhone without At&t
