need removed dual display

I want to remove the left side display from existence. i dont want it there, it interferes with things, how do i get rid of it so i only have the main screen.

I've been on a macbook pro 17" for about 3 yrs and i believe u can't literally remove any of the sides. What u can do is mirroring the display, tick the small box underneath, at least it will show the whole desktop on both screens!! Hope this helps!!!
