Thread: My mac problem
01-27-2013, 08:27 PM #1
I had a mac book, then I got this virus.. wouldnt let me use the computer, etc. So I reformatted the drive, thinking I could reinstall the os x from a dvd or using online option. I didn't know I'd delete the old itunes account that had the lion/lepoard os x purchase history. I bought it from online a long time ago. Is there anyway I can restore my mac to snow lepoard or lion without paying money/using the apple store verification. I have Lion 10.7 cd.. that I got from online and a recovery drive.. but it wont install unless I have an iTunes account with os x purchase. Im broke like really. Sigh... The mac is a 2010 regular white macbook.
forgive me if I posted in wrong section.. :/ just really desperate & downhearted

If you don't recall the Apple ID you purchased Lion with, you're out of luck. You will need to get a Lion recovery disk as you can't purchase Mountain Lion from the Recovery Partition.Until the next time… And if I help you out, give me a "Thanks!" Thanks!
