Welcome to the Mac world. It all depends on what you do with your computers. Check out macupdate.com or versiontracker for lists of software and stuff that may pertain to you. What are your general interests or hobbies that use a PC?

Lol. I don't do much for iPhone on my mac but that is where Mr. Jobs wants you to make your programs. I use my mac as normal. Depending on what your normal use is OSX usually has an equivilent software for what you used windows for.

Don't forget to update your OS X daily. Also, check out the software designed for Mac at the Apple website.

I wouldn't say daily. Most of the time MMi posts when there is a security update for it. Which there was just one yesterday. Also when you get an update called EFI at anytime do not let the start up sound freak you out. That is normal horrible sound when updating the EFI. It usually scares the hell out of some people that have never had to do one.

I went from a 2008 macbook to a week 6 of 2010 27in iMac i5 when the iPad was announced. I kinda wish I had the i7 but the i5 will do just fine. Took a little bit to get used to the 27in screen but the screens Apple has are beautiful.
