Thread: Slow Leopard
09-11-2009, 09:06 PM #1
Anyone else having, or heard of, any problems involving Snow Leopard being quiet slow?
I feel like in the past two weeks my MacBook has become significantly slower than it ever was.
My MacBook is 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, so it's by no means should be a slow machine.
I heard that repairing permissions could help out with a lot of problems. So, I repaired them and received these two messages:
System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAgent has been modified and will not be repaired
System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/DesktopServicesPriv.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Locum has been modified and will not be repaired
I also ran ClamXav and that turned out fine.
Hopefully someone has some suggestions. Thanks for the help guys.iEat. iSleep. iPhone.

Maybe if u did an upgrade opposed to a clean install you'll get that problem...if you have time, go for the fresh start.

Yes, I did just upgrade. Did people who are having no problems upgrade or fresh install?
If this is just the case then I supposed I could do a clean install, just a pain. Any other tips or solutions are welcome.iEat. iSleep. iPhone.

I did the upgrade on my macbook pro, & a clean install on my imac, both run fantastic! If you are running slow I would do a backup, then a clean install. Problem hopefully solved.iPhone 4 | iMac 24" | MacBook Pro 15" | ATV | iPod Classic | Time Capsule | iPad 16 Gb |
