Pwned Pineapple Logo
Those who have already pwned their iphones will notice that the new pineapple logo on the boot screen will be replaced by the old apple logo when it zooms out. I've grabbed the pineapple logo from the app and resized it to 70x70, but i need sm who can make the background transparent, don't have an app for that! In order to replace the original logo you have to put the pineapple to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app !

Steps in Paint.Net:
1. Open original image
2. Click on Magic Wand tool (first col, fourth down)
3. Reduce tolerance to 25%
4. Change Flood Mode to Global (click on lightning bolt to get globe)
5. Click in left side white area
6. Click on Rectangle Select (first col, first row)
7. Hold down Ctrl and left-drag over black block in upper right corner (why is that there???)
8. Click More on Color Palette
9. Set Transparency (Alpha) to 0
10. Hit Backspace to fill region with Transparent Color
11. Press Ctrl-Shift-S to Save As... a new png file
12. Use iPhoneBrowser to drag onto phone

I don't think so, the boot logo has smth to do with the booter, which you change with pwnage tool! It doesn't has smth to do with the firmware you upload.

Thanks Mish!
I was wondering where to upload a custom boot logo
I will be SSHing a new one to
/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app
very soon!
EDIT: wait... replacing that one will fully change the boot logo or only the 2nd image that appears for half a second??Last edited by JuanKi; 08-28-2008 at 09:54 AM.
