Themebuilder & icon size

ok, ive downloaded a bunch of icons, and i know how to put them into themebuilder's folder in the directory. but my question is i was told that the icons must be 24x24 and the ones i downloaded here are like 60x60 or something different. how do i change em all to be 24x24 cuz i tried loading them in the way i got them, and themebuilder crashes when i try to view the icons. thanks in advance and i love the site.
