I think Nightmode is the best - but has some bugs in contacts list. I had used Eclipse but there was not so good ...

With Nightmode you can change the settings for every app, blacklist them or activate experimental settings - very good tweak

Yup! Works pretty well. UIColors even has a way to turn off Notificatoin Center, Control Center, and the Lockscreen UI elements with a single switch, which is nice because I'm a big fan of the frosted/ glass UI, but I hate the stark white menus.

On another note, does anyone know how to change the chevrons in the Notes app? Can't find the little buggers anywhere

    **Nevermind - I think I've found them

Yes, it converts the config.js file into an options.plist file. If the config file is simple, it works good. But if the config file is more complex, then not so much. Example, never optimize a UniAW LS. Not optimizing will not affect operation.

Minimal Android by bjbinc There are later variations floating about on the forum, for 4-inches screens, or for groovylock, or without HTML for iOS < 7...

Whatever applies to you for ONE tweak (libhide in this particular case), doesn't make it AN UNIVERSAL RULE for any device with that tweak installed.

Also with the 7.0.6 signing window almost being closed & closing the opportunity on endless restores BE VERY WISE what u install! Once 7.1GM is released it'll be game over almost if u need to fix ya system files!

The only positive I can see is CoolStar's "Semi-Restore" tweak.

Otherwise add tweaks at your own peril!

Actually, the iLEX RAT tweak is a better option. It was also the original and with respect to the dev, the idea was kinda, well, do I have to actually say it?

Anyway, I'd rather support the original dev.

With respect to ilex rat, from what I can tell with Semi Restore it'll actually grab you new System files if they are damaged or missing.

    Does ilex rat do that?

Define how it's grabbing new system files and how is it determining that they are damaged? This would require a comparison to take place with original files. Not that its not possible, but it would have to do a compare with maybe the DMG images or something else. I'm having a hard time with how this is taking place?

Semi-Restore is a new solution for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users who want to wipe their device clean without losing their jailbreak.

Created by CoolStar, the process will restore your device running iOS 5.0 through 6.1.2 to near stock condition. It's performed using a simple one click app that is available to download for Mac, Windows, and Ubuntu.

    What this does do
    ● Uninstalls all Cydia packages
    ● Fixes host file issues
    ● Erases all user data
    ● Fixes permissions
    ● Fixes activation issues
    ● Fixes iMessage/Facetime issues
    ● Fixes Safe mode issues randomly appearing
    ● Reinstalls Cydia (in case it was deleted)

    What this does not do
    ● Upgrade your iOS Version
    ● Downgrade your iOS Version
    ● Jailbreak your iOS Device
    ● Fix broken System Files

    This according to his website???

    http://semi-restore.com/index7.html

"This process can not and does not repair broken system files! Avoid all Siri Ports, as they are not only illegal (except for Spire on 5.0.1) but they also create problems and may potentially break system files (even Spire can cause this)."

    Why the conflicting info???

Probably have to ask him? I don't know why he would say what he has if it doesn't do what he states?

I would give it a go either way if I got stuck!

You might not be able to give it a go.

It doesn't appear to be ready yet for prime time. According to his site there isn't any OSX support yet with windows at 55% and Linux version "almost" working. Doesn't sound solid to me. Not yet anyway.

    A5 IPSW Extracted

With the worry of the iPhone 4 (A4) not being supported on iOS8??? I myself was a bit concerned at how we could/would get an inside look into the firmware/files prior to a Jailbreak.

Good news this year was @ih8sn0w announced he had an iBoot exploit which among other things (Downgrade possibilties) gave him the devices AES Keys. These are terribly important if you are wanting to extract the IPSW and mount a particular firmware. This was ok for the iPhone 4 due to the Limera1n bootrom exploit and the keys were posted within hours of the new firmware being released. But with the iPhone 4 being potentially phased out in iOS8 it kinda leaves us in the lurch.

Well I had a go tonight and grabbed the A5 Keys/IPSW & it extracted & Mounted perfectly as the pic shows.
So whether a jailbreak comes for 7.1 or when iOS8 Beta is released theoretically as long as sn0w updates the keys
we should be ok and be able to get an inside look prior to a JB!

    -a5_704_ipsw.png

    .artwork update
No word from the Dev's on the "iconCache.artwork" update EXCEPT Dave Peck saying he will respond to my emails most likely in April.

    SIRI - iOS7
I have been looking at the .artwork files in the SiriUI.framework folder and also looking at the "Assets.car"
My thoughts are the SIRI .artwork files are "Legacy" files like the "iconCache.artwork" files.
I grabbed the "Assistant" binary from my 4S (Not found within the Xcode app on my Mac) & dumped the classes
and also started inspecting it via "otool"
Very much a WIP!! From what I can tell if it is indeed a "legacy" file its a helluva job getting the metadata from it to build the correct JSON file it needs!I really hope I can talk Dave into having a wee look even to provide some pointers!
