I was recently asked about the iOs7 page dots. I have what I think are the images, but winterboard isn't theming them. I'm pretty sure they're not legacy files I have, because there'd likely be a spotlight image to go with them. I've done WB logging and it actually logs my custom images in place of the stock ones, but they won't show on my springboard. Any help is greatly appreciated. Enjoy your weekend Thank you.
    Hi bro

    Are they not
    [email][email protected] 12x12px
    [email][email protected] 20x20px

These are found in the "UIKit_OriginalArtwork.car" file

I havent tested but I always thought those were responsible for the page dots & search glyph.

Feel free to let me know if I'm wrong :-)

I'm using "[email protected]" and "[email protected]" from the "UIKit_OriginalArtwork.car" (Both 12x12px)

I'll try the ones you suggested and get back to you. I was just going on the hunch that there's likely not a search image associated with them as there was on the previous iOS, because we have no "search page indicator" as such. Thank you.

Edit: I tried "[email protected]" and my above mentioned files again, and neither will theme the page indicators. Funny thing is that with WB logging on, it only really logs the images that it comes across as they're called upon from the OS. It may log some images you don't see, but mainly ones you do. So I run it for a few seconds only, just to see what images are the main ones called upon the springboard, and they're actually my images that it's logged, so either I'm missing where they're actually theming (may not be the SB page dots, could be somewhere else), or maybe WB is able to make the hook but unable to theme them as images? Thank you.

Ahh ok I could be wrong. They could be code too! ???

I hate how they use code to give the appearance of pngs! Need more tweaks to disable them!

What about asking CoolStar to do ClassicDots & ClassicSiri?

I'm not overly concerned. Plus a tweak, as you said is not the best option. I would laugh at myself if I updated to iOS7 for a new experience, yet I ran 10 tweaks simply to get a few iOS6 images back, then another 10 tweaks to get the usual quick reply and other functionality I desire

As I said, the images I refer to are exactly the same opacity/size of the iOS7 page dots. They look to be masks, but I'm not entirely sure. I tried to bundle the images in all 3 modes of folder hierarchy, but had no luck. The reason I think they're masks is because of the opacity that the "code colour" would stick to, and the edit in my last post. I've been wrong more times than I'm right.....so I'm not hopeful either way lol. Thank you.

Nope. Info.plist on iOS 7. It is very temperamental.

Widget-Weather App Now Available! Also with MyLocation Support!
Check out the thread here - Widget-Weather
To install the Widget-Weather app, just go to Cydia and install. This will also remove MyLocation, as it is built in!
Want to protect your JailBreak! Add this repo http://cydia.myrepospace.com/iLEXiNFO/ & Install "iLEX R.A.T."
It will allow you to bring your phone back to a fresh jailbroken state!

I see that they changed the mask name in iOS 7.0.6, so now when entering in an app whic icon is themed the mask changes to default ios mask, and a second later it returns to custom...
I think that the selection mask name has been changed, so I was wondering if anyone knew what has it been changed to?
    Thanks a lot

    No, it hasn't changed.

I'm not exactly sure what a DFU restore is but I updated to 7.0.6 through iTunes and then restored everything from my iCloud backup.

DFU Restore is the best method update the firmware on your device. It fully wipes traces of your old iOS.That old iCloud backup could potentially cause issues as well.

    What is DFU Mode:

DFU mode is a state that you can put your iPhone into where it can interact with iTunes but does not load the iPhone operating system or boot loader (this is what really differs DFU mode from recovery mode). DFU stands for Device Firmware Update.

What is DFU mode used for?

The primary reason people need to access DFU mode on their iPhone is to change the firmware on the device. This can serve to downgrade to a prior iPhone firmware and operating system, or to use a custom firmware that is required for a jailbreak.

How to enter iPhone DFU mode:

Connect the iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes.Turn the iPhone off (hold down the power button at the top of the iPhone). Hold down the sleep/power button and home button together for exactly 10 seconds, then release the power button. Continue to hold down the Home button until a message appears in iTunes telling you an iPhone in recover mode has been detected by iTunes.

DFU mode is signified by having a completely black screen on the device. If anything else is the case, repeat the steps above until you enter into DFU mode successfully.

It's the only way I update my iDevices.

Wow I had no idea this mode existed. If I knew this I would have done it this way every time I update. It makes perfect sense and it's also most likely the reason why I still had issues after I updated. So your advice is to bite the bullet and lose the backup every time I update?

It's a hard one to swallow but I myself set up as new device but then that doesn't work for everybody.

But if u read the README with the JB tool usually they say not to restore from back up due to issues.

But in a practical sense that doesn't make sense. e.g adding in all your contacts, setting up phone.

In a perfect world one would DFU Restore every time & set up as new phone. Just know that if DFU Restore & u do restore it from back up there could be potential issues after re-Jailbreaking. Hopefully there isn't but there could be.

    Here's what I do:
    - Backup phone to iTunes
    - Make sure iCloud is on for Contacts, Notes, etc
    - Create new folder and transfer my photos to iPhotos
    - DFU Restore
    - Setup as New
    - Sync photos from new folder I created in iPhotos
    - I just bought 'Backuptrans SMS Transfer' for reloading old SMS' ($25)
    - Reload Music, Ringtones, etc (you'll have to do this anyways)
    - Sync ONLY the apps you really want
    - Setup email and settings in the Settings.app (wifi, Bluetooth, Displayed Contacts, etc)
    - Relogin to apps
    - Arrange Springboard again

Sounds like a lot but when you have a nasty bug in there, it's worth it!

I just did this to my wife's ip5 on 6.1.4. Used iLexRat to re-Restore to 6.1.4 and wiped her phone clean!

Now this may be a stupid question but when you say a backup, do you mean a regular iCloud backup or a jailbreak cydia backup? Because I only backup through iCloud( for my msgs, contacts, App Store apps, etc) I don't bother backing up my jailbreak. I just redownload any tweaks or themes I may want.
