    The trick is to not take things personally, Alfroggy

    We all have strong personalities here and it is a little cramped in this thread. Honestly I think we need a better solution than these iOS version megathreads.

    We need a better way to organize. I propose we get MMi to set us up with a whole room dedicated to just iOS 7 theming. It's either that or we all start to post our findings into the Skinning / Themes Discussion thread and properly label them as <iOS 7> specific.

    The amount of posts to sift through for one tiny nugget of information is getting kind of ridiculous. It must really discourage users and artists that are new to the scene and are trying to figure out the nuances of iOS theming.

    We organized the iOS 6 thread a lot better. Jato is just very busy with his theme and with trying to crack the artwork files to put everything in the first post like last time. We could gather items up and then make it ready for the first post and then either send to Jato or post it on the second post until he has time to put on the first post.

    Jato should be a moderator. He's definitely dedicated to the scene

    On second thought, no. He's a themer - moderating would cut into his time too much. Although, limited moderator tools would allow him to help more, I'd think. If he could do both that would be ideal, without the full commitment of being a mod.

    Okay, sorry - I'm going back to my theming corner now.

    I see a lot of themes using the default color and position, like they're not changeable. Just found a solution for this thanks to Onrain.

    By using the auto value for width and height, it is not being overridden by the default values.

    Code:
    <key>CalendarIconDayStyle</key>
    <string>
    position: absolute;
    top: 8px;
    width: auto;
    height: auto;
    color: #c900ff;
    font-size: 9px;
    font-weight: lighter;
    text-align: center;
    text-shadow: 0px 0px 0px rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);
    </string>
    This tip gave me more freedom than June's padding one, thanks a mil !

    and concluded that width should not go over 45px and font size is perfect at 8px,
    everything over that return stock

    Good input guys, yuh sorry I have been a bit busy as King pointed out. My apologies with that.

    I'm open to suggestions on all fronts. It is hard to trawl thru the thread for specific answers agreed. The thread IMO kinda ends up being a "running" or "runtime" Q & A session. It doesn't help that iOS7 has become rather difficult to theme as well.

    Let me know ya thoughts guys...

    Same here. The font on Wednesday can't be over 8px or it defaults. Any other day is fine for 9px.

    It also depends on the font you're using.

    I know it has been asked already, but did anyone ever figure out how to theme the clock hands on the springboard icon? I figured they would have to be tied to a png somewhere..

    Yuh it's not possible. Appears to be code from what we have been able to tell from the class dumped SpringBoard binary...seems like a tweak will be needed...

    But LTE/GPRS are still pngs which in the scheme of things is weird.

    I'm actually surprised why Apple hasn't made their own StatusBar font that has all status bar symbols as glyphs like the emoji font now.

    Anyways...

    Well it depends on the font you're using. I'm happy with iOS 7's light font, bit I've used a BytaFont too, for testing purposes. The Info.plist requires adaptation accordingly.
