I don't think you actually have to know the version of the package. You can just type out the package identifiers of the packages separated by a comma and space.
    Example:

    Pre-Depends: com.test.theme, com.test.theme2

With great respect for all the good input you're getting here, i and truly not wanting to be the voice of bad news, in "all" of the emergency, "about to lose my jailbreak" situations I've watched these last few years, I've never known anyone that has the "recovery mode"window showing to ever have been able to circumvent that and save their jailbreak.

Now people who are in the Apple boot loop, that's an entirely different story and I've seen lots of people be able to save their jailbreak in that situation.

Unfortunately, my friend, you're destined for a full restore. Your only hope is to sell that phone on eBay and buy yourself a jailbroken phone. Which is actually pretty easy and doesn't really cost you much either. Often times it's just an even swap in terms of the money.
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

I wonder if he could manually install the Cydia updates that appear to be stable, now. I put them all in this zip file.

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/ik9da5bwaw...20packages.zip

I also made this guide a while ago for installing Cydia manually but I don't know if it's applicable anymore...

Manually install Cydia 1.1.1 with iFile and/or SSH : iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch

I bet it's the Applications folder name that has changed not the location look below:

    before update the location was

    private/var/stash

and the file name was Applications.XXXXXX (X being random alphanumerics)

On iOS 6 the applications folder name changed to _.B5M1I9 and a link to it named like before Applications.XXXXXX

    Very strange.

    But I have also done the update on 3 iph 5;
    1 running iOS 6 and 2 on iOS 7.
I've also done it on an iph 4 on iOS 7

There were 2 updates each updating 3 essential files and also removing one of them. These updates were within hours of each other. Cydia installer went from 1.1.10 to 1.1.11 then to 1.1.12

The first update included Apt Strict 0.7, while the 2nd update included Apt Strict 0.7 (lib)

I did both updates without incidence on iOS 6 and then I did updates later today on all the iOS 7 devices without incidence.

I love the new cydia layout it is just great! This is a well needed overhaul, not just an image update like last time!

This is where my Applications folder is located, now. I'm just wondering if that 'name' is device specific or a new default directory.

Its possible. Do you also have a symlink in var/stash named like your old Applications.XXXXXX folder that leads to the new location of the Applications folder?

My guess is that the extra symlink is to support legacy apps. There must be some reason to do this. Besides Cydia apps have always used a symlink to install apps. There would be no way to access the Applications.XXXXXX folder when installing Cydia apps. Look in the / directory and you will see that the original Applications symlink is still there, but it links to the new folder.

I'm really curious as to why the name change for the Applications folder???

    Hey guys

Thought I'd share with you the success I have had in extracting the 7X emoji .ttf file & also themeing them!

I worked out today that I have a lot of work ahead of me as there are not 843 emoji icons but by the looks of it 1686!!

I average to extract 50 icons out an evening & that's probably 3-4 hrs easy.

But anyway here is "#" emoji themed.
There is a double up of emoji icons in the emoji .ttf file. So there is a smaller version like 38x38px that u see in your msg bubble or text input bar. The larger version say 58x61px actually appears on your keyboard.

    See below!

    ImageUploadedByModMyi1402743611.031545.jpg

And with the keyboard unpressed but both # emojis themed...

    ImageUploadedByModMyi1402743681.262696.jpg

This has been a huge mission & probably 100 times harder to work out than the iconCache .artwork stuff!

Well, you must've also had some other fairly severe corruption on your phone prior to doing the updates in Cydia. Because I followed the update from the beginning and even people that used the very first a cydia update version had no problems with their phones at all. So there really was nothing wrong with even the first Cydia installer. There was something wrong with your phone that the install just made worse.
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

+1, I didn't have any issues either. Possibly old backups that were corrupted?
