It is just a blur effect that is applied from code.

Yip as king pointed out coded mask. One thing u will need to realise is iOS7 is very different to previous iOS's. iOS7 is full of coded masks not pngs.

They are located in "UIKit framework" and in the fileUIKit_OriginalArtwork.car

What concerns me are that they are black files which toggle dynamically on light or dark BG's. I guess inverting them. Not sure how that's going to work for themes

I've just installed WB, going to see if it still hooks the UIKit framework & see if it can be done, along with the Settings icons. Failing that we may need to wait for an update to WB by Saurik.

Thanks. Doesn't sound to promising for now. These signal dots are horrible. Hopefully with updates we will have some luck.

Looks like the Settings icons in the main window don't theme like they did in iOS6. I thought the hooking function might still work like it did for the icons but no luck.

I just dropped & dragged in my own theme from iOS6 to my 4S on 7.0.4. Just the settings icons bundle. Most of them are still named the same.

    Darn it.

Yes this works on 5S, I'm doing my icons on my 5S

Are you clearing the cache before you are respring? If not?

    Via Jato:

    go to

    Var/mobile/Library/Caches & DELETE the contents of "com.apple.IconsCache"

Why? To clear the "cached" files of the icons the iOS creates. WB usually performs this when respringing. But since its not working we have to do it manually.

Reboot/respring & the changes will be applied.

    Hope this helps

I've been manually theming on the 3gs when it first came out several years ago. Switched to the 'droid for a couple years now back to jailbreak the i5s. Gotta say it's more interesting. Things have changed A LOT since then. Have a few questions if anyone can help.

    1) Back then, I could control the SB and the lockscreen using a css file. Is it still possible now?

    2) Where are the sound files stored?

    3) Where in the world is the dock image?

I can try to answer your first question.

I do know some lock screen themes I use to use on my i4 had CSS files to edit and what not. Haven't tried any out yet on iOS 7, but I'm gonna assume they don't work quite yet since WB hasn't been updated. Unless there's a way to manually add a CSS somewhere in the phone through iFile, which I've honestly never heard of.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, a lot of the "blur" looking images on iOS 7 are actually multiple images layered to have the blur effect, which I think includes the dock, which to me is going to make theming the UI a pain. Reading through some posts I seen that app badges are colored through code, rather than using a png image. I think this is the case for a lot of other images in the UI. Don't take my word though, I could be wrong.

There's no manual theme way anymore to this particular UI aspect.
