I'm building a new theme and could use some advice
Hey everybody! It's been a loooong time since I've done any kind of modding for themes.
I really want to jump back into again and start building my own theme. I'm going to be building a Winterboard theme for an iPhone 4S on iOS 6.x
I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction to get a start on this?
Here are some of the things I've been looking up.
-Auto Skinning Icons ( Both App store Icons and Default Icons )
I've been trying to figure this out in PS CS6 but I'm not quite understanding it. I know that native icons are 118x120px and app store icons are 114x114px. It's creating the icon in PS specifically that I'm not quite sure how to do. I do have PS experience, it's the process that is confusing me.
I've been trying to work on this all night...this is where I'm at. Lol!
UPDATE: Please excuse the choppyness of the icon. I'm still working on that.
So I managed to get the shape. The actual image isn't showing up though. Why?
This is what I am trying to go for essentially.
-A PSD for an icon mask template would be great along with an Action Script to go along with it.
-A PSD for some UI Templates
-Decent iOS 6 tutorials for theming iOS 6.
-A large bundles folder that has A TON of application names
-A ( Folders ) with A TON of application names
This is something I really want to get the ball rolling on. Any pointers and tips to get me going in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

That's all I've found so far. I've been to several other websites including, iOS 6 icon templates and other various sources but I'm not having as much luck as I thought I would be looking into this.
Thanks again for any input that will be useful!

Here's is the progress I've made. A good friend of mine helped me understand how the masking works. We got stuck on one part though. The corners of the applications are still showing up.
Also, my bookmarked icons from Safari are not showing up in the icon mask and one of the games I have installed isn't showing up either? I'm not quite sure why that is. Any ideas?
-How would I go about removing the corners from being visible?
Here's how the icons are looking like as of right now. Once again, please excuse the choppyness. As of right now, I am just using stock images. Once I get this icon mask figured out 100%, then I am moving on to doing custom images for each application after I clean up the way this icon mask looks.
Here's what is currently inside my file structure.*
-Does this setup look right?
-Why aren't my other default icons being skinned? The ones in the dock, camera, photos, notes, safari, compass, calendar, voice recorder, clock, weather, game center, app store, reminders, iTunes, movies, music, and calculator.
Phew, that was a big list of stock apps to type....Lol!
I've also learned the the overlay can be transparent or black.
