Thread: Remove icon label shadow

  1. #1
    Question Remove icon label shadow
    Hey
    Does anyone know how to remove the icon label shadow on home screen? (weird black looking shadow)
    Not only the docked icon label shadow, but all the label shadows displayed on the home screen?
    Thanks

    The file is /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileIcons.framework

    AppIconMask@2x~iphone.png - Controls the icon image displayed, anything BLACK is not shown (gives the appearance of the nicely rounded corners) While anything WHITE is SHOWN
    AppIconOverlay@2x~iphone.png - Provides a glossy overlay look like the Default icons have (it works sometimes and then it doesnt)
    AppIconShadow@2x~iphone.png - Provides a subtle shadow below the icon image

    You will need to Winterboard. Do not replace it. If you don't know how to modify by using Winterboard, do not try it.

    Try adding this to your Info.plist:

    <key>UndockedIconLabelStyle</key>
    <string>
    text-shadow: 0px 0px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
    </string>

    <key>DockedIconLabelStyle</key>
    <string>
    text-shadow: 0px 0px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
    </string>
