I finally got the status bar itself transparent but I want to make the status bar icons ONLY in lockscreen transparent. Any ideas? I'm searched and browsed and can't find anything to let me know if this is possible with the latest ios and if so how to do it. I can't even find out where the lockscreen UI is located using ssh to try to do it that way. I just want signal bars, wifi, and battery icons transparent.

They are apart of the [email protected]k file. What that means is you won't find the icons individually as they are compressed collectively as the artwork file. There's about 1178 images that the UI uses.
The file is located in
You need to extract the images via this tutorial
iOS .ARTWORK file Extractor (with Tutorial)
It uses Python running from CMD. It's the only way.
The UI images are used on the home screen and lockscreen so those icons won't be visible anymore once you make them transparent.
Check this post on the actually Wifi/Signal bar images.
They go in YourTheme/UIImages

Where you able to get the status bar transparent Only in the LS. it strikes me it would be transparent everywhere. That's been my experience.

How did you get the status bar transparent? (I have been searching for a way to make it transparent throughout) but want to keep the icons colored.

Download LS completely clear from cydia. You can browse my files and see what I did. It'll be obvious when you ifile the package.

The files that control the status bar are the same for the SB and the LS. Change it and it exists throughout the device unless you have some tweak like status tint acting on it.
Where in root? It's part of the .artwork files. It can't be accessed directly. There are plenty of tutorials for how to extract them. Or I can Dropbox them for your device.
Winterboard deals with .artwork files either through a folder called uiimages or through /bundles/con.apple.UIkit
You'll see it referenced both ways. Saurik's write up on winterboard on his website talks more about this. Fascinating stuff.

Job well done, thank you for the work to creat these themes.. Have looked all over for the grey lines in the lock screen for some time now!! (Had already found the other items and made transparent png's and replaced them)

Grey line is also .artwork if I recall. Yeah. My package took a lot of time and had a lot in it.
Too bad can't theme % in iOS 6.

How about the gradient behind the volume speaker (when the volume up or down is pressed) and loading icons? It would be nice to have that one transparent as well. Any ideas?

I can't find the volume HUD background. Found it in 4.x. Can't find it in 5 or 6 and google isn't helping At all.
What do you mean when apps are loading?
03-01-2013, 01:28 PM #12
It would be the Same type of background like when in cydia and it says loading updates... I think it's the same background used throughout the phone. I have searched since 5x.. And yes, google has been no help.
In 5x, there was a prog that edited the color, but did mot make it transparent. Cannot remember the name, but was editable through settings..

HUD Pro tweak can remove the background, but I obviously can't tear into the .dylib file to find out how. I started a thread on reddit to see if anyone has found it.

It cannot be a png file then... There was a time i changed just about every png that looked remotely like it to transparent.. Haha took forever too, with no luck.. I'll wait to see what you come up with!
