    You can download a transparent dock theme and steal the images or enable in winter board, or you can simply empty yr dock and then delete to SBDockBG image, won't load, won't be there

    The second option eliminates it, which is what I think you want. Changing the file name works too.
    Oh yeah, you also need to clear the SBDockBG.bitmap file (name is incomplete btw) in /var/mobile/library/caches/sharedimagescache folder or the iOS will keep referencing the cached .bitmap and load the dock.

    I wouldn't recommend deleting stock iOS files. Easiest way is to create your own theme and inside the springboard bundle create a blank image SBDockBG@2x~iphone.png
    sized 640x90
