Yip,
Nav to /System/Library/WeeAppPlugins/WeatherNotifications.bundle
Locate these files:
[email protected]
[email protected]
I simply just put a 1 after the @2x & respring and it's gone. Same deal if you want to remove the BG too it's:
[email protected]
Works a treat!

No sorry. I haven't figured out exactly how to mod that. Ive looked in a few plists around in the weather apps and like but haven't had much luck.
