Update old theme

Back when I was running iOS 5.x, I had a really great Snow Leopard theme that I was using with Winterboard. When I upgraded to 6.1, it stopped working. I'm not 100% positive, but I think it was using Summerboard, which causes the Springboard to crash now. So I can't use it.

I emailed the author about updating it, but he's not interested. He's moved on to bigger and better things, and suggested I look for another similar theme. But I can't find one that I like! I really liked these icons.

So, if he's not interested in updating it, how would I go about getting it updated by someone else? If I knew how, I'd do it myself.

I'll post an old screenshot so you can see what I'm talking about. (The HTC clock is from something else, not part of the Snow Leopard theme.)
