Danny is right, mod the General strings of your selected language.

Have attached a S/S of my
    Modded strings file.

You then need to respring for it to take effect.

You shouldn't have to respring just hit home to close it then from the app switcher just hold it then close it out from there. Then use ifile to find the file and edit through there and hit save. Then when you reopen it it will load the strings again

I've done that, but for some reason it's not going away I have it put into my theme, is there another location where this might be?

So I posted this on reddit, but never got a response so I am trying here, see below:

So I am having an issue with a few of my icons (Alien Blue and Facebook currently shown below) where there is a shadow around the icons. However, my BiteSMS app and all Apple Apps are displaying correctly. All icons are same dimensions, so I am at a lost as why BiteSMS works and others are not.

Here's a screenshot to show the issue.

    iOS6x Theme GUIDE-pfjvp7k.png

I have tried re-naming the following files, however that did not work:
    AppIconMask@2x~iphone.png AppIconOverlay@2x~iphone.png AppIconShadow@2x~iphone.png
I also tried No Icon Shadows in Winterboard, still no luck.

I am using an iPhone 5 on 6.1

Bit off topic but I put my UIsounds in native folder. All works fine accept my keyboard clicks. They are very muted in comparison to other sounds. Any ideas fellas.

As for the "call" text, that is not an image since it changes when you change fonts through bytafont. So you have to edit the General.strings file in your in the folder of whatever language you use(ex. English.lproj) I believe the part you need to edit is this part
    "CALL" = "Call";
    So change it to "CALL" = " ";
    awesome... was looking for that!
now just got to find the file for the little white phone. should be easy enough to get rid of that though

i just replaced my original file for tock... figure i can always swap it back if i need to.

    Hi all,

I have a few question please.

    1) On iOS 5 i was able to change my to change my theme icons like this :

    /var/stash/Themes/**theme name**/Icons(I would have to create this folder)/**appname**@2x.png & **appname**.png

I found this way alot easier than finding the app bundle i.d.

I have tried doing this in iOS 6 but it doesn't seem to work.

    2) Because the previous way didn't work I am trying to change them using the bundle i.d's, and with my current theme I have changed a few but I can't seem to change the App Store, iTunes or Ecoute icons.

Are these the correct bundle i.d's :

com.apple.mobilestoresettings (Just one icon in here called [email protected])
com.apple.MobileStore (Just one icon in here called [email protected])
com.pixiapps.ecoutemobile (2 icons in here called [email protected] & Icon.png)

Summerboard is a dying feature of winterboard. But that's another discussion not needed here.

You can use either AppInfo or IconThief to get bundle id's and icon names. Both are found in Cydia.

Thanks for the feedback, I have AppInfo and have tried changing standard apps (iTunes, App Store, etc) but they don't seem to change. I eventually managed to get Ecoute to change after a couple of resprings.

Yeah, some require the clearing of certain caches. Not all rue springs are the same. Are you using the WB respring? I find this to be the easiest. Just open WB and toggle summerboard on then off, then respring from WB.

I wasn't at first, I was respringing through SB Settings and my Ecoute icon wasn't changing, but then went into WB and toggled summer board off then back on, resprang through WB and then it changed. I think I'll resprings through WB from now on.

When changing icons, that's the best way to go.

I downloaded a dump of iOS 6 image files and I came across a Settings folder with a bunch of icons I can't find in my iPhone.

Any idea what folder these are located in using iFile or iFunBox?

    iOS6x Theme GUIDE-screenshot.png

Do you think maybe someone just organized the folders using the Summerboard method? Crap I think that's it.

I think you might be right, I had a deep look into this with trying to match up the filenames but no luck, I figured it out tho, go to /System/Library/PreferenceBundles if you havent already.

Each one of those folders contains the icons that you have posted up. Like you said they have been renamed to possibly work with SummerBoard mode.

Have you managed to test if it can be themed by WB?

Thanks for the help! Got it figured out. I was confused for a while looking for these because I already themed most of them a while ago but the names were all different. It took me a while to figure out it was SummerBoard-style because who does that anymore?

The files you need to mod are:

    [email protected] Size 10x40px
    [email protected] Size 640x40px
    [email protected] Size 10x40px

Simply make transparent versions and drop them into: Your Theme/UIImages

Respring and you're good to go...if manual theming you will need to recompile your [email protected] file with those transaprent versions

Nice man! Good result! Yuh crazy indeed! Have you got most your theme iOS 6 ready?

The two files for mail you need to mod are:
    [email protected] Size 22x22px
    [email protected] Size 22x22px

    These go in Your Theme/UIImages

These were as you pointed out apart of the MobileMail app in iOS 5 but are now apart of the [email protected] file in iOS6

I also tried No Icon Shadows in Winterboard, still no luck.

I am using an iPhone 5 on 6.1
At a guess, those icons do look smaller than the other icons, are the actual icons 114x114 px and not just on a 114x114px canvas with the icons themselves a bit smaller?

This is the issue, I just tested it on the SKYPE icon , its 110x110px but on a 114x114px canvas, so resize your themed icons to 114x114 px within the 114x114 px canvas
