if so than i have to visit. lol

got some good news too. you know we talking about how to theme
the cydia app. i was working on that the whole day and i find i way
to themed few things and i think this looks much better than the
boring blue layout. i only have to find out how the pinstripe wallpaper
works and the ugly ugly tint statusbar.

if i'am finish with that i will come with the whole filenames and locations.

Keen to hear how u get on with Cydia. I hear u on that Tint UI issue. I'm at a loss to figure that out! Hoping a JB tweak Dev can sort that or in can be incorporated into WB to neutralize the Tint shading property!

I have been a bit sidetracked with my own theme.

    Keep us in the loop!

Yo! I've got everything to change they way I wanted it too. I'm actually gonna start to work on my first theme for i5. Yet, do you know where I can find original native icons since mine are themed? Or do I just un-check the theme on Winterboard and respring?

Hi man, that was covered in the first post.

    But here it is

    /var/stash/Applications

Then just jump into each folder app as needed.

    Good to go!

    Default Jukebox mod
So this is the outcome of what I did with Jukebox. Went threw and edited all the .PNG names If anyone would like the icons for editing let me know  Thanks again for the help. Now on to figuring out how to mod the weather widget.
    -devioustheme.png
Icons for customizing (Renamed for ios6):JukeBox Controls.rar

Update For Weather Widget transparent background , and getting rid of the small yahoo icon in the bottom left:

In iFile Navi to System/Library/WeeAppPlugins/WeatherNotifications.bundle. Scroll to [email protected] and press blue arrow. Take the " @ " out of the png name ( This keeps the original on file just for some reason it is needed in the future. ) This will take out the widgets background. The yahoo icon .PNG names are [email protected], and [email protected]. Do the same as you did to the background image taking out the " @ " in the .PNG name. If you would like to take out any other images repeat steps as before. Cheers

Here's the PSD. I'll add a PDF tutorial with some screens soon, but here's the basic run down. Thank you.
1.) Open the PSD and you'll see a folder for creating your dialer, a template folder, and a background layer.
2.) Create your dialer as one complete image, including the LCD banner.
3.) Make a copy of your dialer folder, and then merge those layer into one. This will flatten the image, so that when you clip each section to the template layers provided, your gradients don't adjust to the smaller canvas size.
4.) This next step can be achieved in several ways. One method is to create 5 copies of the template layers and copy and paste your artwork onto these layers, using the selection tool. Then I duplicate each of these layers into separate PSDs, and save them with the required name as PNGs. Just remember that you have a pressed and unpressed version of each image, so it's quickest to do both at once
5.) Worth noting, is the background layer down the bottom of the PSD, and It's blend mode is set to color. I usually duplicate this into the new documents along with my custom dialer sections. Photoshop is pretty accurate, but when we flatten paths, they turn into fixed pixels, without the ability to re-sample the image based on mathematical bezier curves. Having a fill layer underneath your image, set to color, will help to eliminate transparency around the edges of your image, and they should all fit together perfectly.

Sorry about this one. I've not found them yet, but I'll do some more images tonight and test. It's possible these are in the shared artwork, but it could also be a whatsapp file that I haven't themed. There's some stretched images in there, that have the same vertical gradient, but they've got arrows on the end. This doesn't rule them out though, because it could be displaying the arrow upon a touch function of another navigation bar. I'll let you know what I find. Thank you.

Edit: @signori: Sorry I can't help just yet. PM sent. Thank you.

OK. So I think I followed the directions pretty well yet I'm still having trouble. If anyone can help out, I'd appreciate it.

I want to change the folder icons to another image which I found on these boards (I think it was part of the Noki theme).

    1. I opened iFile.
    2. Navigated to: /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/
    3. Deleted: FolderIconBG@2x~iphone.png
    4. Used the iFile WiFi web server function to connect to my PC.
    5. Uploaded my new folder icon - I quadruple-checked to make sure it's spelled right.
    6. Went back to iFile.
    7. Clicked on newly uploaded file to view - It is the NEW icon I just uploaded.
    8. Navigated to: /var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.springboard
    9. Cleared the cache by deleting the file inside there.
    10. Did a Respring.
    ...no change.
    11. Rebooted the phone.
    ...no change.
    12. Went back to iFile.
    13. Navigated to: /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/
    14. Clicked on: FolderIconBG@2x~iphone.png
    15. Viewed it and it IS my new icon!

Yet, the new folder icon is still now showing up. The old one is. And I deleted the old one in step 3.
Anyone have any tip, suggestions, input?

I would rather NOT do this through WinterBoard but if I must, I will. However, I'll need help on how to do it that way (through WinterBoard).

    Thanks!

    Try

    [email protected]

    16x2

    It's the UIPinstripe replacement.

Question, can you share that hide Tinted status bar plist? I would like to test.

Assume that also works for iFile too as that was a problem with it as well??

    Nice work Mr Bozack!

thx for the probs i appreciate that dude.

yeah gimmi a second i will upload the plist for you no problem.
hiding the statusbar should work in most of the app by adding the
code like you can see on the pic in to the plist of the app.

    -img_2798.png

i have tryed to hide the statusbar of ifile via the code
but the app crashed and a had to install ifile new.
    so don't try it!!!

yeah thx a lot i try the [email protected]. wich location?

    Almost

    Try go to /var/mobile/Library/Caches

    Then

    com.apple.springboard.sharedimagecache

    Then into the "Persistent" folder

    There u will see "FolderIconBG.cpbitmap"

That is the file you need to delete.

    Try that

Does anyone know of a way to cover the folders so that you cant see all the small icons inside? I was thinking maybe edit the icon in the middle of the cluster of icons within the folder to a larger size. Maybe it will Div over all the other icons idk. If there is a way to do this do tell please. Would make things look a lot cleaner in my theme , and probably others themes.

I think Springtomize 2 is the only way or it was in iOS 5.

At a guess a tweak adding additional compiled code is only going to sort that issue.

Do you mean the dock reflection? If so, and you're using WB, you can add a clear 118x120px png named SBDockMask@2x to var/stash/Themes/YourTheme.theme/Bundles/com.apple.springboard/

    Thank you.
