I read earlier the Facebook update was causing the FB app to crash. Perhaps that has something to do with it? I've hardly updated any of my apps...keeping them iOS6 styled...

Anyone know what would cause my phone to stop connecting to wifi? It says incorrect password but the password works on other devices.

I am on 6.1.2 jailbreak. I haven't installed any new tweaks in quite a while. None that I have are related to passwords or wifi that I know of. I have several other devices that aren't having any problems with my wifi. It won't let me connect to any personal hotspots either. The error message just comes back as "Incorrect password" for whatever wifi I am trying to connect to.

Yes. MyLocation-based weather widgets are down because of Yahoo's feed problem. However "WidgetWeather"-based weather tweaks are working perfectly.

Maybe you told me before Bulldog.. But do you keep Location Services turned on all the time? If you turn it off - WW will go into safe mode. And are you running the newest one? 1.5-26?

Update: tried connecting this evening kept getting "cannot connect" message instead of wrong password. I rebooted and it connected like it should. Didn't prompt for password or anything. I'm bumfuzzled, but glad it's working for now.

    @mcooper

Hey, we'll I have ended up in your situation today. My iphone 5 was having coverage issues & the operator told me to "Reset Network Settings" via the Settings App. The operator said u will need to enter the WiFi password again & i was like thats not a major...I did hesitate all the same but having no Cellular coverage did suck. So I reset the network settings.

All seemed well...until I got home & went to jump on the Wifi...

"Incorrect Password for my Wifi network" So after trying to enter it a 100 times & also having NO joy with the carrier operator I started digging.

    I found in var/preferences/SystemConfiguration

    com.apple.wifi.plist

This plist seems to contain all relevant info about the wifi side of things. I am able to check with my 4S on 6.1 jailbroken & compare both plists & what info is present on the 4S vs the 5.

You can toggle on from this plist "AllowEnable" to turn Wifi on & off. I can't figure out where it's checking the password field against tho.

I wish I could figure out what plists are modified or cleared when you "Reset Network Settings" obviously a plist or XML doc or keychain that has had the Wifi password stored. I thought that maybe the field where it gets entered is strictly read only after you reset network settings & not have the write access enabled which could possibly be a JB offset issue is my thoughts?

I have even deleted that com.apple.wifi.plist & it auto rebuilds but still no luck. It's like it's locked out.

I CAN connect to Wifi IF there is no password. So it's not a WiFI issue it's an authentication issue of some sort.

I've dug around a fair bit thru the preference side of the iOS with no luck really

    Open to ANY ideas...EXCEPT RESTORING!

    Areas I've looked in

    var/preferences/SystemConfig
    - 7 plists here including Network

    var/mobile/Library/Preferences
    - about 60 odd various plists here

    System/Library/LaunchDaemons
    - 4 wifi plists here

    System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileWiFi.framework
    - Nothing in here really

I did find in the Preferences app

    Reset.plist

I just can't figure out where it's controlling what etc.

isDestructive IS toggled on but what action does this invoke once confirmed?

I removed my password and renamed my wifi network, and I still could not connect. So if you can connect without a password our troubles may be different. I have tapped many resources about it, a few were familiar with it, even on non jailbroke phones, but none offered a solution. I feel fortunate that mine is currently working but I've told not to expect it to last. I just want it to make it to jailbreak ios7.

Oh, you might be right then, yes that might be the best. Altho i dont plan on updating to iOS7...i enjoy iOS6 too much...

    Anyways UPDATE
Well i ran the scenario by Match_Stic (Convergance) and the issues im having...he come up with the idea to run my iDevice thru Xcode's "Organizer" window. You can select "Console" and it gives you real time logs of the processes...we found this after I opened the console window & then i tried to log on to my Wifi.

Nov 23 13:40:31 Jatos-i5 Preferences[491] : -[WiFiManager joinNetwork:isHidden:]: Unable to set password in the keychain

So looks like its a write access of some sort, so we are investigating the var/Keychains folder a bit more.

    Hopefully we can override/reset it...

    Will keep ya's posted...

could it just be a permissions issue?
