We have deleted the MobileSubstrate folder so no tweaks that use Substrate are on there anymore...Really hope we can fix this.hes using iFunbox via Mac which doesn't give terminal access. On PC it does but won't pick up his phone.

    Ideas?
Deleting the MobileSubstrates folder doesn't remove the tweaks like getting rid of Mobile Substrate in Cydia does (adding substrates to the delete queue).

Is there anything at /Library/LaunchDaemons/ ?
The theme I run is 3 4 All, by Sk37cH.

if you do use the mac's Terminal.app to ssh try running this code:

    Code:
    killall -SEGV SpringBoard
it should boot you to safe mode

Will that apply if the MobileSubstrate folder has been deleted???

    Code:
    touch /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.saurik.mobilesubstrate.dat
    killall SpringBoard
    Edit: sorry your right

Maybe try downloading a .deb of ilex and put it into the Cydia auto install folder. Then reboot twice. Then see if you can get ilex to run over ssh.

you can install via ssh as well using dpkg -i

cd / (to the folder where the .deb is e.g. cd /private/var/root)
    su (press return)
alpine (press return) (or your password)
dpkg -i nameofpackage.deb (press return, replace nameofpackage with LockInfo for the example)

good call, did you have it using your Wi-fi, if so did you have it connected before this happened.

sorry, I just assumed you would have because I always do when home

if you do you can access the router and look for Attached Devices or something similar, mine is found under the maintenance tab, you should be able to narrow down which device is the iPhone

    iLex rat .deb Download

I did actually think .debs were stored on our device as I come across one once but then I couldn't find it later. Makes sense they are stored temporarily...good work dsg! 👊

Yeah they are cached for a bit Jato, can you tell us exactly what you were doing before the issue, specific files or packages you may have altered or installed will be very useful in finding the cause of this

Also is it a boot loop you are stuck in, or does it boot the OS and fail to load springboard?

Also to get your IP you may just need to do process of elimination for devices on the network

If it's just your PC and iPhone on the network then get the PC local IP address - probs in network properties or something similar and assume it is the other one. You're looking for numbers in the format 192.168.x.x

Thanks to all for your help. I'm trying the suggestions right now. Sorry it's taking me so long, but with 4 kids and me and my wife both working full time, I don't get much alone time. Also, I can follow instructions very well, but I'm overly cautious when I'm in the iOS file system like this.

Connection refused using the ssh root with ip.

I have a bunch of .m4r ringtones in my cache folder. Safe to delete?
