    Question guys.

    As some of you know I am running my own custom font in various places in my i5 with success!

    I have three weighted versions;
    Light, Regular & Bold

    The fonts are running manually in System/Library/Fonts/Cache

    And are renamed as needed.

    Not via BytaFont

    I have been mucking around with my Info.plist in my theme and can change time, Cal icon date & badges with reference to Verdana (but it is my own custom Regular font)

    I was hoping you could use a different font weight (Bold) like in the Cal Icon date displayed but every time I select a different font name other than Verdana it looks like it uses the Fallback.ttf or LastResort.ttf & doesn't show my font

    The issue there is my newly named Verdana is the regular edition of my font but I want to use a bold style in the Cal Icon date displayed.

    I guess what I'm asking is can you run two different font types via the one info.plist successfully in WB? I've tried 2 info.plists & placed one in another theme with no luck.

    The Font I've had created is 0-9 only so it is not a full font make up.

    I even tried VerdanaBold, Georgia, CourierNew etc but WB doesn't seem to pick that up at all.

    Any feedback is welcomed

    have you tried:

    font-weight:bold;

    in your Info.plist

    As it is at the moment to get the fonts to show up it has to be like

    font-weight: 100

    So that's all ive been running for all time,cal, badge styles.

    It shows up fine like this.

    Ideally I'd like to use VerdanaBold & make WB grab that font which is my own custom font & display it as Bold in the Cal Icon date displayed

    you could try this

    Edit: what is your bold font ported as, can't you just select that in your Info.plist

    That could work, altho it seems a lot more complicated than how it seems to work at the moment. Maybe it's just one font weighted style for WB...

    Thanks for that link dsg great reading that's for sure!

    Well all 3 are ported as Verdana it's what Mike set it up as. U can use any 3 but only with one named Verdana. If the fonts are named anything else it doesn't call on it. Do u think its a porting issue and the UPM values need to be matched to the VerdanaBold font? Makes sense that if those UPM values are different from Verdana to VerdanaBold...probably explains why it doesn't show

    I asked Mike, he said Motif runs three so it is possible. Just looks like i have to rejig my info plist

    Edit: mike said its to do with the porting. Ill have to get him to port my Bold version as VerdanaBold

    Dang it all...hopefully this should resolve that issue tho.

    does he know how to port to the Helvetica .tcc fonts, those are the ones that are used as the System fonts. also if you used them as the system font you might not need to use the Info.plist to do what you want

    I'm not sure, isn't there like 2000 glyphs in that font? Figured out the round dot u see when inputting your pass code is a glyph from that font apparently.

    If I had the font fully sorted I might look at that but with it being a bit techy it might not be suitable.

    Thanks for your tremendous help man!

    Morning dsg,

    Well even with my Font ported as VerdanaBold and called on with the info.plist or from within two different info.plists it won't display thru WB the two weights of my font.

    If I use Verdana for my regular font name then try and use Font weight: Bold it actually displays the default Verdana in Bold in the Cal Icon date displayed. So almost just not my Font.

    Any ideas?
