    ALL [email protected] goes in

    Your Theme/UIImages

    Personally myself I prefer the Bundles method and place them in

    My Theme/Bundles/com.apple.UIKit

    Personal preference tho.

    So are you saying that all the images that are in UIImages folder can all be put in the UIKit bundle?

    I understand that this is just your preference, but are there any benefits to this that you know about?

    Thanks again for all your support here bro!

    The battery percentage is rendered in iOS 6. No more loaded .png's. bad if you love winter board, great if you love Installing manually. I replaced my fonts in the font cache folder, and my batt% is in the modded font.

    I tried that and my status bar icons did not theme, BUT I tried it because some well respected themes I 've seen do this, so I might suck...

    Thanks man! appreciate that! Well I look at this way, and I maybe wrong but UIImages is an adaptation within WinterBoard for it to theme maybe like the Folders method. I could be wrong? Throughout the iOS in every app etc the iOS always refers to Bundles and their id's. I dont really know why UIImages was added to WB like that either? But in the past ive had issues with the "Folders" method not being a 100%. But this is probably for a different topic so I just stay true to what ive dissected from within the iOS and what works for me. WinterBoard at least on iOS 5.1.1 worked and still works perfectly for me. It really comes down to what works for each individual. My Wifi and Signal strength bars are working fine as com.apple.UIKit. Probably the best method or true to the iOS method is to recompile our themed images back to a [email protected]k file. But then you are limited with status bar's and icon sizes. So its a catch 22 really. I just know I have more faith in the Bundles method and with com.apple.UIKit.

    iOS6x Theme GUIDE-img_0034.png

    Of course there are going to being some compatibility issues with WB and I hope it gets updated in time. A BIG ask on Saurik to have it good to go with only minimal time before the JB was released and testing done. Im guessing Apple wont be making it easier to for it to integrate within in the iOS but im purely just spectulating there.

    I hope I didnt offend any one here, that was not that intention guys.

    That's why I asked. I always try and do everything in Bundles. Then I resort to Folders if I have to. I was unaware of being able to not use UIImages.

    Thanks for the quick lesson. Even this old dog can learn a new trick!

    I am making new folders with background for my theme. When I go to open the folder it opens fine with my background but the wallpaper background reverts back to whatever was set. example

    Also, Carrier names and their file location?

    Save a copy of your wallpaper in:
    Library->Wallpaper->iphone
    Then activate it through settings and this will go away.

    Just one way to do this.

As for the "call" text, that is not an image since it changes when you change fonts through bytafont. So you have to edit the General.strings file in your in the folder of whatever language you use(ex. English.lproj) I believe the part you need to edit is this part
    "CALL" = "Call";
    So change it to "CALL" = " ";
    I am still having a problem with this! All the other strings I have edited changed and worked fine except for this one. Any ideas?

I've noticed those icons from the shared center dont theme through winterboard but the do if you recompile it into an .artwork file. Im on a iphone 4
    Thanks heaps for this thread. I'd tried everything to theme those suckers, but to no avail. Glad to know I had the right images, it's just that WB isn't theming them. I can move on and concentrate on things that do theme

    Really? I just downloaded a WB theme and it had the "CALL" word as "" in the General strings field and it is theming via WB no issues with my original General.strings file unmodded.

    Can you post up a screenshot of your General strings file but of the CALL part? If your main language is English the General strings file you need to mod is located in your original mobilephone app.

    Nav to here: /var/stash/ApplicationsXXXxxX/MobilePhone.app/English.lproj

    Create a copy and simply rename it. This is a backup in case something was to go wrong or you couldnt remember what to type back in the "CALL" field.

    Now this has already been pointed out and im merely just reinforcing the way to do things.

    In the General.strings file go to "CALL" = "CALL";

    The second CALL bit is the what the iOS is going to display within any app.

    Change the second call bit from "CALL" to "" that means the iOS is going to display nothing.

    Save changes exit and respring.

    Let me know how you go, if it stil doesnt theme is there a tweak that could be interfering??

    Then you will just have to go thru the MEGA amount of carriers in there to locate the one you are after

    Have you looked at this file "[email protected]" 118x120 px which is located in /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app

    I think that may be the cause of your issue?

    Thanks, I've already found the file and some other, I tried replacing them, deleting them - nothing. Has anyone transparent versions of the original files I may replace with mine in Springboard?

    Removing:
    [email protected]
    Also removed that image from other areas of the phone
    So I still need a fix for removing the line from the lockscreen but not removing it from elsewhere, and without using winterboard (that's for children who can't be trusted to play with internal files)
    I refuse to use winterboard as it causes lag, if I didn't mind lag I'd be using an android device!
    Anyone got a fix ???
    I read editing the wallpaper where the line is and making that part inverted?

    Hi,
    because Im a beginner, I read a lot last night. Today I start building up a new Statusbar.
    I name the new Bar [email protected]
    So I have three files:
    my.theme/UIImages/[email protected]
    my.theme/UIImages/[email protected]
    my.theme/UIImages/[email protected]

    The Bar does not change on the Home Screen, but the Bar changed when I open a App like Telephone.

    Please give me a tip that the Bar changes also on the Homescreen.
