    I have installed a lockscreen which comes with its own background. BUT I prefer my own so I enabled "user lock background" and move it to the top.

    But when I resprang, the lockscreen still shows the theme's background.

    I'm on iOS 5.1.1.

    any ideas on how to get this to work? thanks

    you could just go through the theme on ssh and delete the wallpaper using iFile or iFunbox?:P

    just deleted the LockBackground.jpg that comes with the custom theme. my background is now black.

    Add your wallpaper with that name there?! or try selecting a wallpaper from settings app

    well I my lock screen to show the default lock screen image.

    According to this article (How to Customize Winterboard Theme with User Wallpaper), it should work... :/

    I can but I don't want to do this every time I change my wallpaper which I do every 2 days.

    Hmm i would reinstall the theme and see if its still happening and if it is then sorry i dint know how else you could change it.
