I tried to used the Transparent Status Bar from Cydia but it makes the status bar transparent in every app. This wouldnt be a problem but with some apps, the background is white and as the font is also white, its hard to read the status bar.
so is there anyway to just make statusbar transparent for just the LS and SB? Thanks!

This shouldn't be too hard to sort. IDevices call on a set of 3 png files to display the Status Bar depending on what the phone is being used for.
I assume your Transparent Status theme is running 3 transparent images but named accordingly for the iPhone to call on them before the Apple images.
Look for One called "[email protected]" that is the png File used for your clear/transparent LS & SB. I would rename the others instead of deleting them in case you wanted to try it out again. The ones you need to rename/delete are:
[email protected] = 10 x 40 px [email protected] = 10 x 40 px
