having a little trouble with downloading themes to my iphone..

i tried to download the retro phone 2.0 but how do i even get it onto my phone...

You have to install openSSH on your iPhone through Installer.app.

Then download a free program that has SSH capabilities like WinSCP.
When you start the program, enter your phone IP, then
Username: root
Passwork: alpine

SSH(copy) the folder in: /var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes (if you're in 1.1.3+)

Reboot your iPhone and select the theme in SMBPrefs.

alrite i downloaded winscp and im connected but im confused on the installer.app part...how do i install SSH through my iphone

go into installer and find the file called OpenSSH and install it. Make sure you have BSD subsystem installed first (or cydia)

How to SFTP Summerboard themes

1. install BSD subsystem
(from list of apps available from Installer)

2. install OpenSSH
(from list of apps available from Installer)

3. Get a SFTP program to SSH to your iphone from your computer
(If using a MAC try FuGu or Transmit. If using a PC try WinSCP? or iPhoneBrowser?)

4. SFTP settings: Server will be your IP address of your iphone, User = root, password = dottie or alpine.
(get your iphones IP address from Settings->Wifi->click the arrow next to the wifi network you are connected to. you'll then see your IP address)

5. Summerboard themes go in var/mobile/Library/SummerBoard/Themes/ , this is the directory you'll place your themes. each theme should have it's own folder.
