Winterboard themes the icon files in com.apple.Preferences, but does not theme any icon files in PreferenceBundles.

It does for those icons which are called for in a plist.

All mine are themed. Can you give an example of one or two that you are having trouble with?

Well I managed to theme all but Personal Hotspot and VPN in the end, but I did that by putting icons in com.apple.Preferences. For example, making a bundle called com.apple.videosettings with icon@2x in there didn't change the Video icon. Not even if I themed it manually.

VPN worked like that for me, cheers! com.apple.WirelessModemSettings didn't work for me, not even manually (just like the other preference bundles don't change when I theme them). The only way I could theme the Hotspot icon was to add a file called [email protected] to com.apple.Preferences.

Yes, you are correct on the Personal Hotspot icon needing to be in the com.apple.Preferences bundle

Managed to extract the artwork on Windows (couldn't get it to work on Mac for the life of me), but when I try to recompile it gives me an error:

I am positive that image dimensions are the same (cause when they weren't, at first, I got an error message saying so and I rectified it xD). Using Jaku icons, just like another person in this thread who reported a similar (or the same..?) issue.

The files I was editing were some [email protected] files, which are responsible for the sharing menu.

Hunch: it stalled at the Shine image, which is only 3 KB (cause it's basically a blank PNG). Could it be that it needs to be more KB? If so, how can I make a transparent PNG more bulky?

I ended up recompiling that a/w for the Jaku icons but that shine image wasn't included. There was 44 Jaku pngs that I recompiled with the original extract. It worked fine.

Yeah, I have examined the sized of all changed images, and there are some with way bigger size discrepancies than the Shine one. So I doubt size is the issue here :/

Double check that shine image. There is no GradientFill or TopShine image in iOS 6

Double check it for what...?

I replaced my rebellious edited Shine image it with the image from the original artwork, and still it won't recompile. While when I try recompiling with all original images it works fine.

Going to have to be a process of elimination id say. So even with the original Shine image included with the Jaku icons it stalls on the Shine image or gets past it and then stalls on another?

Yep, eventually it worked when I used the original Shine and Twitter. I would still quite like to theme that Twitter sharing icon, so I will try remaking a new icon.

Good to hear, I haven't tried recompiling themed "[email protected]" or "[email protected]" yet. I notice they are strictly 114x114 px if that helps.

Might give me something to do I over the weekend.
