Question for themers

I'm in the process of creating my first theme and have a question.

I've been changing icons in the bundles folders, like com.apple.camera folder for instance. I noticed that icons can also be changed by creating an Icons folder in the theme and placing them there. I tried it and it worked for the iPod icon (which I was having problems changing in the com.apple.MobileMusicPlayer folder...in fact nothing worked and I gave up!). So it seems like the Icons folder is very convenient but the icons must be smaller in size to work. Are there any advantages or disadvantages using the Icons folder to store app icons? Comments or suggestions will be much appreciated
