  1. #21
I know this thread is kinda dead but the name for the status bar item on the springboard is
    WhiteOnBlackEtch

Music App Icon - Cut or Copy [email protected] to directory Folders/Music~iphone and rename [email protected] to [email protected]

Video App Icon Cut of Copy [email protected] to directory Bundles/com.apple.videos and rename [email protected] to [email protected]

Right...I'm gonna head to bed. If anybody is willing to test for me.

    The WifiBars/Signal Bar/3G, E and G, Battery icons.

Everything in your UIImages folder that is Black_ needs to be changed to WhiteOnBlackShadow_
and Silver_ needs to be changed to ColorOnGrayShadow_ (Except for the Base.png e.g Silver_Base.png stays as it is!)

    e.g Black_DataTypeUMTS is now WhiteOnBlackShadow_DataTypeUMTS.png
    e.g Silver_DataTypeUMTS is now ColorOnGrayShadow_DataTypeUMTS.png

Silver (ColorOnGrayShadow) icons work wonders!...but as i've said on my end the Black (WhiteOnBlackShadow) only shows when I bring down the Notifications Center.

Task: If anybody is willing to try this let me know if you have the same problem as I have (stated in first post)...if you do and you happen to find a way to get the icons to show on the normal apps screen then tell us anyway and we will all give you an imaginary gold star :-P

    Haha! Night folks!
yeah i managed to get the videos icon working but the music icon no luck. Used Folders/Music~iphone. didnt work though and yes i did rename it to [email protected]
also i was wondering how to change the phone and mail icons too cant seem to find them

Ive tried themeing some of the phone app and still cant get anything to work. adding ~iphone isnt working

I got it working with bundles. com.apple.mobileipod is the folder to put in bundles. [email protected] is the file name.

    mail bundle is com.apple.mobilemail
    mail icon is [email protected]
    phone bundle is com.apple.mobilephone
    phone icon is icon@2x~iphone.png

I am trying to theme the sync indicator in the status bar. In the artwork, there are regular as well as @2x versions of the files. When I theme them, the iPhone 4 uses the regular instead of the @2x version. It works fine if I use the @2x file named as regular, but I don't know if that is how it is supposed to work.

@FortKnox And All I have Figured out how to get all icons to show on springboard, when you are in mobileicons.framework an you edit appshadows you also have to add the same image as defaultAppIcon, And GameAppIconShadow This Will Make All Your Icons The Same Image. I personally Just made a backup and just Changed the actual System Files, up to you either way.

    DefaultAppIcon@2x~iphone
    GameAppIconShadow@2x
    AppIconShadow@2x~iphone/
    AppIconMask@2x~iphone

Im trying to find UIImages in system files, an how to edit those as well as I cant get my smsbackground to work any one got a tip on that I tried editing it in system chatkit framwork, and that actual wb theme. ??

If you cant see your font on springboard, all you have to do is delete your plist in your theme. -img_0038.png

I was wondering if you could tell me what the 'New' and 'What's Hot' UIimage names were from the below picture. What I'm trying to do is make the selected tab the existing green, and the non-selected tab a lighter green, rather than the blue it is right now. This may be treated as a request if you are so inclined, but the name will do just as fine. Thanks.

    What is that for?

  18. #38
    the icons at the top.

you need to make the following changes from ios4 files starting with:
    silver changed to ColorOnGrayShadow
black changed to WhiteOnBlackEtch and duplicated to WhiteOnBlackShadow

Also all files need to have a @2x for it to display properly.

WhiteOnBlackEtch is for the normal icons
WhiteOnBlackShadow is for the notification centre.

firstly can someone make me or show me how to make a reminder.app icon
also i cant seem to get the mail app icon skinned although it is all set up in the right place (below) and i have cleared the cache.

    Mail Icon

    Icon.png
    [email protected]

    Bundle Id = com.apple.mobilemail
Your icon name should be writen in lowercase..
    [email protected]

That should fix the theming of it
