    Color Keyboard doesn't theme root apps (the same way WinterBoard doesn't).

    I've got problems with auros CK not having all parts changing. I need to look into the matter. Perhaps do I need a reinstall in Cydia cause some images might be missing :-/ I don't think Cydia would allow partial installation though...

    I'll try putting this on my fresh i4S instead to test as soon as my sim is activated. Not having Wi-Fi at home hurts, and that network my old i4 currently is on is very poor in the deep far-East French countryside.
    The theme I run is 3 4 All, by Sk37cH.

    Hey, that Siri Dictation Background can be included in a CK theme, and I always include it, but it can be overridden by an image in the Winterboard theme...

    With the multiple ways things can be themed in WB, I'd need to look back into where that image is, and what other non-keyboard instances it's also used in... To remove it so that mine can be seen for the kb dictation, may leave a hole elsewhere... I'll see what I can figure out.

    @Alfroggy:

    Hey, let me know what you find... You mentioned trying on your 4s instead... We're you trying on an i5 and having problems?

    Also, I'm guessing you use Azerty... Could the issue be related to the new "accented" version being added to iOS 6? I'll be either adding an accented version, or even just replacing the original Azerty with the accented version.

    Hi I wonder if someone can help me.

    I designed a keyboard ages ago when I was using iOS 4... I have carried on using it and updated bits when needed on the newer os' but now in iOS 6.1 on my new iphone 5 I have this issue where I have a white line at the bottom of my space bar.
    How do I get rid of that?

    yes, the "keys" were visible so I could see the background through my keys, I looked at the guide and I see a background that has a pink translucent background but I dont like the pink, I would like to get it back to being transparent. I thought it was in the settings> customized backgrounds> enable custom BG> on, enable custom BG> on but nothing selected would make the background show up, but not working this time around, any suggestions?

    Hey, I'm surprised not to seemingly see the new highlights on the sides of your keys actually... I had done at least some testing with no luck regarding those or the ones at the bottom of your Spacebar (and Delete Key it looks like?)...

    Could you post a copy of your plist?

    There are so many ways to accomplish the code coloring of all kb parts in a CK.plist... Your's may hold an answer, or at least point out what I've missed with my "plist only" theming chops having gotten pretty rusty...

    Thanks!

    @Santana:

    Hey, my Siri BG images are included in the ck theme...

    There's an image in the auros WB theme that overrides them though... You only saw mine probably before the last auros WB update which added Siri support for iOS6.

    I'm admittedly only familiar with using Siri from the keyboard, so I'm not even sure where else on the device this image is used for Siri functionality, but this image can be removed or renamed:

    /Library/Themes/auros_01 - base theme/UIImages/

    [email protected]

    @Julieebean74:

    The Custom Background function in the CK Settings app is only half working on iOS6 it seems... The selected image is used, but can only be seen if the Theme that's armed has the code in it's plist to make the native iOS Gradient Background transparent (as opposed to just changing it's colors). The settings app should completely override the armed Theme and do that for you, if it were working properly...

    I can get a few plist only themes together for you while we wait for an update to CK... Let me know if you'd like specific colors for the keys and text at least, and I'd be happy to try and get some together for you.

    Hey Bryan. It's alright, my issue got solved by refreshing the themes in CK settings.
    I'm on my i4 right now, the iPhone 4S is without Mobile Substrate installed for the while. I'll install Color Keyboard on it soon though, my new contract's gonna take effect on Saturday.
    Thanks for caring.

    i have attached it as a text file.
    i had created the theme using the manual colour coding and grouping, and have not used a background image.
    anyway any help on the white line would be appreciated.

    Hmm... Armed your code and it looks different for me...

    Your screen didn't show the highlights on the sides of the keys, or the new highlight at the top of the keyboard...

    Those are present on my device...

    I also noticed in your screen that the "Alert mode cuts" are present under all of the keys...

    Is the Spotlight page "Alert mode" on iP5 I wonder? Or do you have any tweaks armed that add functionality to the Spotlight page and include a Passcode/word-like Alert instance?

    You can edit your plist by looking toward the beginning for these <arrays>, and altering the last 2 digits of each's hex code to be two zeros, like this:

    <array>
    <string>UIKBColorBackgroundAlertLine1</string>
    <string>FFFFFF00</string>
    </array>

    <array>
    <string>UIKBColorBackgroundAlertLine2</string>
    <string>FFFFFF00</string>
    </array>

    <array>
    <string>UIKBColorBackgroundAlertGradientStart</string>
    <string>FFFFFF00</string>
    </array>

    <array>
    <string>UIKBColorBackgroundAlertGradientEnd</string>
    <string>FFFFFF00</string>
    </array>

    <array>
    <string>UIKBColorBackgroundStandardLine1</string>
    <string>FFFFFF00</string>
    </array>

    <array>
    <string>UIKBColorBackgroundStandardLine2</string>
    <string>FFFFFF00</string>
    </array>

    <array>
    <string>UIKBColorBackgroundStandardGradientStart </string>
    <string>FFFFFF00</string>
    </array>

    <array>
    <string>UIKBColorBackgroundStandardGradientEnd</string>
    <string>FFFFFF00</string>
    </array>

    You could use low numbers like 11, 22, 33... In place of the "00" to try some translucency...

    If you have any problems at all, feel free to post a copy of your plist and I'd be happy to take a look at it!

Not having Wi-Fi at home hurts, and that network my old i4 currently is on is very poor in the deep far-East French countryside.
    hey if your using a mac dont forget that you can create a wifi network so that you can talk to your iphone just not real internet

    Thank you. That's what I do. But I don't have Internet at home right now. I need to phone the network provider again to have it fixed.

    I in fact tethered my wife's iPhobe wifi to the Mac for restoring our phones. Was required in the operator swap process. And downloading our respective IPSWs took forever
    But I *had* to jailbreak the three phones straight after. Can't stand being jailed in Apple gloss.

    does anyone know how to fix that white line on top, around the space bar, and around each key?(See photo)

    can anyone get backgrounds to work now since updating to iOS 6.1.1, is there a fix?

    PLEASE BOLD CHANGES as my code is very neatly layed out with comments

    Hey! Very nicely laid out with comments! That's awesome!

    The last few posts we've been talking about all of these issues...

    The "new" White Highlights (KB Top, Key Sides, Space Bottom, etc...), have no fix as of yet. I did quite a bit of guessing as to possible new code/part names with no luck. May take an update to the CK Tweak, or at least the list of "known definitions"...

    The Settings app isn't quite properly implementing the Custom Background feature... It arms the images ok, but this functionality no longer automatically overrides the UIKBColorBackground <arrays> (whether iOS or a CK theme plist is in control...)

    So, the Hex Codes that are changed below, will make your theme's plist do that, so that Images selected in the CK Settings app will be seen...

    The first little new bit can be included if you'd like two BG images (1 Port, 1 Land) to be armed automatically with the theme, and the two images named:

    Land.png
    Port.png

    Can be included in your theme folder with the CK.plist.

    These images can be named however you like, as long as the names in the plist code match.

    Also, if you go this route, those two images will be armed with the theme, but can still be overridden by the Custom Backgrounds feature in the CK Settings app.

    My changes are obviously the bold red... :-)

    Either or, I'm sure it would be totally possible.
    forget what i was saying last night no idea what i meant

    Id like to switch out the background on the fly
    and outline the keys in white, where that white line is that no one can get rid of lets use it to offset the color of the keys
    so basically keep the white line around the keys but add a top and a bottom white bar to them as well with the spacebar but a left and a right white bar

    do customized image backgrounds still not work?

    I think the only thing that "isn't working", is seemingly the fact that when you choose Custom Backgrounds from the CK Settings app, Color Keyboard isn't changing the needed codes to XXXXXX00 automatically like it should be, to allow those images to be seen when you pull up the keyboard.

    So for the moment, the only way to make the Custom Backgrounds feature in the Settings app work properly, is to have a Theme armed who's UIKBColorBackground values are set to be transparent already (like the "00" edits I made to your plist).

    You can choose to include 1 set of whatever BG images you want to be able to change between on the fly, in the theme folder... and include the callouts at the beginning of my edit, so that when the theme is first armed, one of the sets is already being used...

    In this case (or if not), as long as the armed Theme has those "00" UIKBCBG values set, the Custom Background feature in the CK Settings app should work normally.

    Moving on to the New Highlights, etc...

    I'm sure you mean the new overbearing white bevel at the top of the kb that no one can get rid of... That's true, and as far as I know, all the other new strange highlights on the sides and bottom of some(?) keys... weird... are also beyond our control as far as specifically controlling them for "plist only" themes.

    All the "key" related new highlights are not a problem for any BG image-based themes (the ones that use many BG images that include at least the keys on them), because a specific string is used to make the entire key foreground (all of it's parts) transparent, and thankfully these new parts (whatever their names may be) fall into the "all" category without putting up a fight. Lol.

    So, while using the "plist only" method, we can't make those visible new highlights go away, and the opposite ones you mentioned (Bottom of Qwerty keys) don't exist.

    I'm not positive myself if just learning the proper new names for the ones that do exist will allow us control, or if the CK tweak has to be updated as well...

    Color Keyboard is surely in need of at least some minor maintenance. I wish I had the means myself... Hopefully if we're patient it will come.
