    Hi Phatmartino
    Just got a problem : I've made a CK with custom backgrounds, and the Number Keypad background doesn't work with some apps and tweaks like CurrencyConverter or MyFitnessPal (AppStore), whereas it works well in Settings.app (for example when you setup a password). Take a look at the pic plz.
    In fact it's a wrong bkgnd which is displayed ^^'

    Thanks in advance

    Hey, there are several NumberPads that Color Keyboard is capable of theming, and it's very possible those "tweaks" and other Apps that use the different Pads don't have the proper images to display.

    I've only more recetly found out how to call the images and what the layouts look like for some of the less common ones, but here's what I think should cover all "NumberPads" that CK can theme.

    -l-0-4-numberpad.png -l-0-5-phonepad.png -l-0-8-decimalpad.png -l-1-5-phonepad.png -l-2-6-namephonepad.png

    -p-0-4-numberpad.png -p-0-5-phonepad.png -p-0-8-decimalpad.png -p-1-5-phonepad.png -p-2-6-namephonepad.png

    EDIT: I just updated this link, the included .txt file plist code was inaccurate.

    CKG-BG-Pads.zip

    If all of the images are created and named the same as the included native screens, the following can just be copied into the <key>BackgroundImages</key> along with all of your other image callouts:

    Hey, found what was leaving the Space text when pressed. It was actauly the "pressed" Etch, and it looks like there are other similar instances at least with the Shift key. I'm guessing that you don't want any native Text/Symbols to show whether pressed or not?

    Just in case, here's a new plist with only "Space" removed:

    roman3001-2.zip

    Let me know if you do want all native Text/Symbols (not on Popups) removed, I can do so and post another copy.

    All that's needed is a Landscape image and a Portrait image. The image sizes are the same as all others used for Port and Land, but the Landscape image works differently. Only the top 200 pixels of the 324px height will be seen. The rest is beyond the bottom of the screen. These Native screens are included in both of the CKG-BG Theme folders, but I'll show the Landscape here where it's mentioned:

    Here's the code in the sample plist that calls out these images. The only variable is Orientation, and they're both the same new Style: iPhone-Dictation

    <key>Landscape;iPhone-Dictation</key>
    <string>Siri-L.png</string>
    <key>Portrait;iPhone-Dictation</key>
    <string>Siri-P.png</string>

    The microphone on these images can be themed via Winterboard.
    The Siri part isn't working for me :/
    I created the images '[email protected]' and '[email protected]', also added the lines inside the 'ColorKeyboard.plist', but they don't show up...

    Always getting these:

    Hey, my apologies, this functionality is being added to the next CK update that could be coming out any time. I became ready to start posting and formatting the new posts in this guide and wanted to include it, but it won't work until you see the update for CK v1.2.0.

    I have a few theme mods out there already myself that include this Siri stuff, but it won't work until CK is updated.

    Sorry to have led you temporarily astray (I wasn't sure how soon anyone would really even see the new info), but if you put everything in place as I outlined, you'll be good to go.

    If you need to be able to test the Siri BG images you're making in the meantime, you can download this:

    CK-Siri-Tester.zip

    And replace the two images [email protected] and [email protected] with your own. Then arm this theme and only those two images will be used for all layouts.

    This leaves you having to hit the Dictation key without being able to see it in order to activate Siri and see your images with the Mic, but hopefully you have a feel at this point for where the Dictation key should be.

    Sorry again. Gun successfully jumped by me.

    Working, but there's a bug inside ColorKeyboard :/
    When you go from Protrait into Landscape and vice versa while in Dictation Mode the image will will be upscaled horizontally.
    Also changing into normal mode will also be upscaled horizontally.

    Hey, you're right! I always check out Port and Land when testing, but hadn't flipped between the two while in Dictation apparently.

    It seems like once a layout is resized improperly, it's a temporary glitch that will fix itself the next time you:

    Exit and Re-Enter Dictation - This fixes the Dictation Layout, but not the Normal Layout

    When viewing the Normal Layout (and it's resized), changing Keyplanes (Shift, 123, Emoji) will fix the glitch.

    This is obviously stemming from the way the Landscape Dictation BG image is used, so I don't know if it's something "wrong" with CK, or a conflict with the way the iOS switches between the "smaller" area set aside for the Landscape Dictation "kb", and the "normal" area for the Portrait Dictation "kb".

    I'll mention it to the Author of CK and at least find out if it's something that can be addressed.

  22. #274
    Not sure what's going on. It seems that the numpad has a bug when dealing with the P-1-5.png (that's the shifted version invoked when tapping on the [+*#] button:

    -img0219d.png

    The shifted version looks like this although the background image is fully skinned:

    -img0220x.png

    It seems that there is an overlay of the keys that is not skinned by CK. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Hey, try adding this code with the rest of you DisplayType <arrays> under both <key>iPhoneAlert</key> and <key>iPhone-Standard</key>:

    <array>
    <string>DisplayType=NumberPad;ControlState=2</string>
    <dict>
    <key>SymbolColor</key>
    <string>UIKBColorClear</string>
    <key>EtchColor</key>
    <string>UIKBColorClear</string>
    <key>SymbolSecondaryColor</key>
    <string>UIKBColorClear</string>
    <key>TransparentForeground</key>
    <true/>
    </dict>
    </array>

    Let me know if this does the trick. I think I've noticed instances like this that might be dependent on the plist where a custom defined transparent gradient is needed for a: <key>ForegroundGradient</key>

    instead of using:

    <key>TransparentForeground<key>
    <true>

    And I can give a little more explanation if needed.

  25. #276
    Adding that only eliminates the symbols and looks like this:

    -img0221b.png

    Notice that the numberpad actually does get a skinned background, but the system overlays the disabled buttons and masks the fully skinned background.

    Ok, you're almost there...

    Under your <key>CustomColor</key>...

    <key>CustomColor</key>
    <array>

    Add this:

    <array>
    <string>ClearBegin</string>
    <string>00000000</string>
    </array>
    <array>
    <string>ClearEnd</string>
    <string>00000000</string>
    </array>

    Then under your <key>CustomLinearGradient</key>...

    <key>CustomLinearGradient</key>
    <array>

    Add this:

    <array>
    <string>ClearGradient</string>
    <string>ClearBegin</string>
    <string>ClearEnd</string>
    </array>

    Then in the DisplayType <arrays> I had you add before...

    In each, replace this:

    <key>TrasparentForeground</key>
    <true/>

    With this:

    <key>ForegroundGradient</key>
    <string>ClearGradient</string>

    Apologies, I thought the other easier method would work, but let me know if this finishes the job.

  28. #278
    Success. Thanks a lot (I did modify the symbol color and some other stuff to make it look better). Why transparentforeground doesn't work is a mystery though...

    Awesome! Glad you got it.

    Sorry I didn't catch originally that you were leaving the native text visible.

    Nice work, though. Looks great!

    I can't find the base image name for the menu bar when on the search page in iOS5 ip4s

    Anyone? Right now it's transparent which doesn't work for my background with vwallpaper2
