Help: How to fix overlapping badges?

In the screenshot below, you can see how the badge attached to the mail icon gets overlapped a little by the Safari icon. I know that by default, a badge will be below any surrounding icons it doesn't belong to.

When icons are too close to each other, this occurs. I know it shouldn't bother me so much but it does -- haha. My question is if anyone has found a solution for this?

I use Phoenix3200's Shrink tweak to resize my icons which makes them fit more with compacted layouts, and it can also rescale the badges also.

I'll try that! Thanks for the idea. I know I could just change the badge background image, but I like the size of the circle. Oh well I guess I'll have to compromise.

It doesn't have to scale the badge, infact if you just rescale the icon, the badge should move with the icon it is for, and away from the next one.

I really don't want to scale the icons any smaller.. I might just have to man up and stop worrying about such a minor detail. But still thanks for your help!
