There's a tweak in cydia that'll get rid of them for you. It's called something like no dock labels 4.2.1.

In any theme you are already running, you can update the Info.plist member and set the opacity of the dock labels to 0. Like this:
<string>color: white; opacity: 0</string>
Or just create a new theme (like No Dock Labels.theme) and create the Info.plist member with the above. Either way, setting the opacity to zero for DockedIconLabelStyle will make them "disappear".

Thanks for the help I downloaded the tweak. It's called "no docked icon labels 4.0".

Yeah I knew it was something like that couldn't remember exactly. I was too lazy to look it up too.
